Vehicle Delivery

Just got off the phone w/ my dealer. I'm bummed. Their first allotment of 9 vehicles will come at a staggered pace. Meaning, they will get the first 3 ordered in August, the second 3 in September and the final 3 slots arriving in October. October??!! Ugh. Seeing as though I was #8 on the list of 9, I gotta wait for these shipping installments? Almost seems like I've been grouped in the second allotment with that delivery date rather than the first.
For those of you in the second allotment, when are you receiving your Z?
Is this the way YOUR dealer is doing things? Does this sound familiar to anyone out there? Thanks for the input...

Thanks for the input you two. Zgirl, your dealer should know at least SOMETHING. That surprises me. At least you're getting NO info as opposed to the crap I'm hearing... In any case, keep me updated on your situation. Have a good night darlin... Late

Guys, c'mon - your dealers dont know any more than you do at this point. It's all hear-say. Dont assume or believe anything until you have an actual manufacturing order from Nissan that shows the build date and delivery date (to the dealer).
I know it's fun to speculate, and dealers are known for "talking it up" with their clients to keep them interested, but I'm not even going to worry about it until I get a printed piece of paper that says "Nissan" across the top.
As for second allotments, all information so far has said they will be in January at the earliest, so Oct would still be months ahead of that.
Just my feeling...

I don't know when this occurs but we will receive a letter with expected delivery date. That same letter will have your car's VIN on it. I would guess an expected build date would be listed as well.
As to the dealers saying they will have it a certain time frame, I have to take that with a lot of salt. Until Nissan finalizes their production schedule, I don't know how Nissan, much less the dealers, would know when the cars will arrive. Maybe if Nissan has agreed to deliver certain high volume dealers cars first, but this would be unlikely. They will produce the cars in what they believe is the most cost effective manner possible.
just my 2 pennies.

Are we supposed to get a "third" confirmation from Nissan telling us our build date and and ACTUAL expected delivery date?

How long did it take for everybody to get their first confirmation? Also, are there any numbers at Nissan that I can call to make sure they know about my order?
I guess I could always call the dealer, but I'd like something from the people actually making the thing.
