Are all dealers now aware or informed of the delivery dates?

Guys, c'mon - your dealers dont know any more than you do at this point. It's all hear-say. Dont assume or believe anything until you have an actual manufacturing order from Nissan that shows the build date and delivery date (to the dealer).
I know it's fun to speculate, and dealers are known for "talking it up" with their clients to keep them interested, but I'm not even going to worry about it until I get a printed piece of paper that says "Nissan" across the top.
As for second allotments, all information so far has said they will be in January at the earliest, so Oct would still be months ahead of that.

Just my feeling...

hey LowFuel,

Are we supposed to get a "third" confirmation from Nissan telling us our build date and and ACTUAL expected delivery date?

My salesman indicated that customers would be getting a confirmation letter with the expected delivery date.

I don't know when this occurs but we will receive a letter with expected delivery date. That same letter will have your car's VIN on it. I would guess an expected build date would be listed as well.

As to the dealers saying they will have it a certain time frame, I have to take that with a lot of salt. Until Nissan finalizes their production schedule, I don't know how Nissan, much less the dealers, would know when the cars will arrive. Maybe if Nissan has agreed to deliver certain high volume dealers cars first, but this would be unlikely. They will produce the cars in what they believe is the most cost effective manner possible.

just my 2 pennies.

LowFuel, good choice of model and color. I thought I was the only one to order that combo (no splash guards on mine however).

How long did it take for everybody to get their first confirmation? Also, are there any numbers at Nissan that I can call to make sure they know about my order?

I guess I could always call the dealer, but I'd like something from the people actually making the thing.

Hey, thanks, that's great.

I doubt I'll be able to wait four weeks before calling though.
