Im here in Illinois and I see atleast one or two everytime I go out.

Still doesnt stop me from wanting one though. Thats why they invented aftermarket parts .

Umm, I don't think it's that weird. As people have stated, the Prelude is no longer made. I've also heard it sold VERY poorly which is why they killed it.

See http://66.218.71.225/search/cache?va...lesID=2970</a> and http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/...6-26-honda.htm.

If you notice in the 1st article, it says between Jan and May 2001, Honda sold only 3,481 Preludes. Nissan between January 2003 and July 2003 sold 22,576 350Zs. However, this is peanuts compared to say the Toyota Camry which sold 36,842 last MONTH (see http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/030801/laf028_1.html).

I don't drive that much, but I do see Zs every now and then. Two coworkers of mine have them, and I'll soon be the 3rd. Another guy at work is looking buy one soon as well.

Replying to my post, Nissan sold 13,253 350Z in the US in 2002 (http://www.nissannews.com/corporate/...13165838.shtml). Honda in 2002 only sold 1,966 Preludes, and 9,462 in 2001 (see http://65.112.188.103/forms/corp/sales/02dec.html). So, the 1st few months of Z sales already exceeded two years worth of Prelude sales, then add another 22K so far this year...

OK. Come to Western Australia - Perth. I'm not sure how many Zs have sold here but i would be supprised if it is more than 20!! Given that we are about the same size as San Francisco (and the most remote capital city on Earth) the Z looks good all the time!

Every time I drive the car it gets a huge amount of attention - does my ego good. So you want exclusive come to the sunny state with clean air and a very low cost of living! You will have to get used to lots of beautiful women, great resturants, wine country and totally deserted beaches with the whitest sand you ever saw. And a steering wheel on the other side.

Don't know where you're driving, I see at least one a day out in the NW suburbs.

The only color Z I haven't seen yet on the roads is the white.

I have no clue what u r talkin about OUCH. more Z's than Preludes? u must be kiddin me. I live in Irvine, CA, where I believe is populated by a lot of people with enough money to buy a 30k car as they please. yes i have seen a lot of Z's here but trust me Preludes are everywhere. i'm talkin about 5th gen and 4th gens all over the place. Reason why my observation means anything? Well it's because I drove a 5th gen prelude right before I bought my Z and I love the Prelude so therefore I kept a good look out for the Prelude if one passes by or is just parked on the corner.

The only reason why u think that there are more Z's than Preludes is because the Z just plainly stands out a lot more than the Prelude. You might miss 4 or 5 of every 10 Preludes you see on the road but I doubt u'd miss a Z passin by.

This is why I opt for a roadster instead of the coupe

Hmm I'm not the only one who notices that there's more Z on the Road than Prelude... A lot of my Fellow LA Luders too, so yah you definitely have no clue as to what I'm talking about. Maybe in Irvine there's more Prelude but definiteyly NOT in LA

SquadElite drive around an hour per day in Chitown. Come on man, that doesnt equate to much terroitry. I am not sure what time you are out or where but you know as well as I do that lake shore it would take it an hour and if you get down in the loop,m come on..... PS I used to go to school in chicago. That really expensive Jesuit place on the noprth side.

I'm in OC, and today I saw 400 Preludes and 1 350Z (mine). But yesterday I saw 100 350Z's an only 9 Preludes. Strange.

I live in Tulsa, OK, and I rarely see another see. I drive a lot, and I often go the whole day being the only Z on the road. I get a lot of people saying, "I've never seen one before" or "I've never seen that color before" (DB). I guess living in OKC you have more trucks/SUVs than you do two-seater sports cars; save of course for the Boxster which seems to be *everywhere*.

I agree in the LA/SD area "car capital of the world" when I'm their for work which is often I do see more 350's than 5th gen (97-01 Preludes). Hell Nissan might have sold more 350's in one year than just about the whole run of the 5th gen Lude? I think they might have the 350 beat on exclusitivity and I still think a 97-01 Lude SH looks good. I see just about as many 350's as 5th gen Ludes here in DFW as well.

I agree. The Z doesn't seem as popular here in Chicago. I'm all drive all the time around Chicago and I'll see a Z every once in a while. I wonder why that is.

My guess is that rear wheel drive cars aren't that popular where it snows a lot.

any great bang for buck car is going to become common for its price range. don't worry it'll never be as common as a 3 series at least. there is probably an upper limit to its appeal due to its impracticality.
