Default This may be hard to believe

I just returned from a 6 week road trip from Phoenix, AZ. to Atlanta, GA., to North Florida. From Florida I went to a Z meet in Plaistow, NH, over to Niagara Falls and on to Michigan. From there I wound my way home across the midwest to Arizona for a total of 9,000 miles and 6 weeks on the road. This was the month of April and one week of May of this year. Guess how many Z's I saw on the road, not counting the Z's I set out to shoot in Fla. and NH? I saw 2 other 350's the entire trip and I was looking hard for other 350's. I can't exactly call them commonplace just yet according to my extended miles (currently 36,227) looking for them. Regards, Jim

I also reside in Southern California and it's true-Z33's are everywhere (now). I remember when I first took delivery (back in 10/03), the Z turned more heads than my restored vintage Italian scooters. Now things have settled and things are back to normal. Now the Z rarely gets second looks while my concours 1967 Lambretta SX200 continues to stop traffic wherever I ride it.

Additionally, I work in the South Coast Metro area and I literally see about 4-6 S2000's on a daily basis. The new M3 (including the convertible) is also fairly common in the area. I see 6-8 E46 M3's a week.

To put things in perspective, I've got a buddy in Arizona who rarely sees S2000's or M3's(E46). As for the restored Italian bikes, well, those are rare in any state...

Have a great weekend everybody!!!

I live in the South Bay (Redondo Beach area). I gotta say that I don't see a lot of Z's on the road, maybe 1 or two a day at the most.

However, my Z gets looks and stares every time I drive it. Doesn't matter where...on the street, in parking lots, on the freeway.

Think about this fact:
Nissan will only make about 35,000 coupes and 10,000 converts a year. Not much when you considert that that's how many Toyota Camrys are sold each month (as was mentioned earlier). To put this number into a better perspective (sports car sales) Nissan sold as many 2003 Z cars as the 2003 Corvette...now that ain't too shabby!

Come to Jersey Bro, you'll be satisfied by the lack of Z's on the road. Just havent seen them lately at all. Kinda refreshing

Just got back from LA today (Culver City) and I saw lots of 350's all over town, like Brent said I think the thrill is sort of gone in the LA area. It so many damn nice cars out their it rediculous, but again LA is the car capital of the US.

It's getting to be that I see one or two a day, even here in New Haven. It's not exactly the car capital of the Northeast.

You guys are making me feel bad for buying one, like I'm not part of your 'members only' club because I didn't buy one when they first came out.

Yeah, b/c it's 95% hand-built in alongside the NSX, and the factory doesn't have production capacity for anywhere near 350Z levels. Even if the capacity was there, it still wouldn't sell as well due to lower practicality and less suitability as a daily driver.

For those who are saying that there arent very many here in cali, i live in Gardena, California and i see at least 2-3 a day, and thats just too and from work, maybe to the bank or out to eat. I just moved out here so next summer, when i drive back to Wheatfield, Indiana to visit friends, (out in the middle of one BIG corn field), i'll definitely be turnin' headz.
