I enjoy the smaller platform of the 350z over the Corvette, whether it realy handles better than the Corvette is of no matter to me, because it feels more nimble than the Corvette. The smaller platform gives it a quicker feel and makes it more enjoyable. Granted I've hung some corners in the Corvette that I don't think the Z could take as well, but it's close. The Corvette feels far better planted on a high speed turn.

Swapping lanes is a different story, the feel of the Z zipping in and out of traffic beats the Corvette in feel. I think the Corvette could hang right there with it without any strain, and may even do better. But the feedback from the car itself is rougher in the Z, which makes it feel more like you're part of the car.

It's more of a matter on what road feel you want when you are driving. The wife loved driving the Corvette and riding in it. She didn't like the Z, said it was too rough and noisey. I like the rough and noisey character of the Z. If I wanted a luxury car, I'd get one.
Owning a C4 totally explains it since they are garbage on wheels.

My car is pretty damn loud on the inside.

Rides pretty rough too. Must be the shocks.

But like I said, drive both back to back. The C5 Z06 is still a beast 5 years out of production. There's not much if anything beating it for bang for the buck. It's also a pretty nice DD if you keep the revs down. You can pull about 19mpg in the city and 30 on the highway and it has a good amount of trunk space.

Well, I own a 350 and I've reviewed a Z-06. The Corvette wins in every performance aspect, but it costs more. How can you compare the cars? If you can get the Corvette for the same price and performance is what is important, the choice is obvious. I personally think the Corvette is quite hideous and the built quality is questionable. I will never understand why Americans cannot make a car with quality parts. The plastic feels like it came from a Fisher Price warehouse.

Still, you're getting 430-some horsepower and wicked handling (rare for yanks).

You guys need to stop being such fanboys about your cars. Especially the ****** with the Corvette who is clearly way too proud of the car he owns. It's not like you built it. You just spent the money. I only hope your limp-wristed driving style doesn't make the CAR look bad...

Wow seems as though I have started a silly fight on here. The z06 seems to be the better all around choice for me. The only mods I am doing are wheels, bolts ons and a tune. I have been driving my brothers HR for about a week now as well and it does not feel much better than my wifes previous REV UP 350z. The z06 also seems way more stable at high speeds and in the canyons then his z does and he is on Tein Coilovers and Falken Azenis tires.

Well guys thanks for everything but I have decided on the z06. Which will soon be traded for a c6 z06 with in the next year or so anyways.

I hate to tell you this but that's not a C5 you're looking at . . . I suggest you do your homework to learn what a C5 looks like.

Its a c5 z06 with aftermarket rear wide fenders and bumper. Cant remember the name of the lighting kit and a molded on front lip. It was featured in luxory/exotics performance magazine last fall. I cant actually name the exact magazine right now its late. Trust me I know what plain jain vettes look like. I just financed one.

I think that's the ACP front lip. That guy's cousin is on another forum I'm on. It's a show car but it still does the job.

Now go get that Z...06.

some of you guys are die hard 350z fanboys to the max.

But come on now lets be F*CKIN realistic now....
C5 ZO6 >>>>>>>>>>>>> 350Z.
They aren't in the same class, they have a huge performance gap.. whatevers yall. I drive a 350z, "HR" too wooptidoo. Low 12's in a Z06 and great handling > our mid-high 13 sec cars with good handling. Spend thousands and thousands more in mods on your 350z and yes.. they can be compared.. but not car for car.. lmao

oh and btw
Kia advertises their new top of the line sedan and says it's comparable to the BMW 7 series.
I'm sure you guys are agreeing

You mean mid to low 13 sec cars for the HR. Even though some haven't gotten that, it can be done.

Nice try, a-hole. He did clarify it had a headlight conversion kit so it looked like a C6. You still can't spell -- get a real job, pig.

C5 Z06 has much better performance, but I don't like the looks. I'd rather have a plain C6.
