I want to get the base model because it's cheaper, but I'm concerned by the fact that it doesn't come with a limited slip differential (VLSD). Is that even necessary?

What are the benefits of having the vlsd?
How will it affect manouvers such as drifting, donuts, 180's, etc.?

I drive fast and hard sometimes... and I plan on drifting and doing donuts sometimes.

please help

Give me a call before you do this. That way I can follow you and when you crash, I'll have a handy tool box ready to part out your car swiftly.

You guys are mean! Hilarious, but mean.

Also, +1 to all the mean stuff you said.

Enjoy replacing your clutch.

I have an '06 base, of course without a LSD and i have only ever really noticed needing it in the rain. But as long as you have a "little bit" of common sense in wet conditions; you'll be fine. But cruise control is a different story...

For someone who plans on doing donuts and drifting in parking lots, my guess is a "little bit" of common sense might be tough to muster.

For me, getting an Enthusiast was more about wanting cruise control than the VLSD. But then, I am 35, not 19.
