I think its because after an accident people arent usually going to state when type of transmission they had....That would be that one of the last things I would even mention...in fact I would probably never even think about it.

How'd you find out about the thesis?

LoL! Actually I was thinking that maybe it's because the manual puts down more power right away as compared to the auto. I didn't make the thread to bash anyone at all.

I think that in general people who drive MT's (or if you use the manual shift-tronic setting on an AT where MT isnt an option on your car) are more into their car than people with AT's , and found this site while researching the 350z to the N (th) degree as I did.

I also bet their are more males on this site than females.... males are more likely to drive an MT than females

and the fun fact for the day... no idea if this makes a difference or not, but women get in far more accidents than men; however, men get into more serious accidents.
Agree. The original premise is flawed.

They don't crash autos because you have to bounce it off the rev limiter in neutral and drop it in drive to spin the tires to any degree.

If I was a mod this thread would have been closed by now.

But I would expect mods to somewhat know what they are talking about, and you clearly don't.

When I see a "Crashed my Z" thread I think "damn it would suck to have a BASE Z with no Traction Control!"
