make sure to post up the results of that call.

DAMN!!!! those lights look like garbage!!!! Does CinCity have a business license? or business insurance? If he so conveniently wanted YOU to make an insurance claim for lights he messed up, why doesn't he claim it on his business insurance instead? I wouldn't want to pay a $500 deductible out of my own pocket, to fix some lights that someone else damaged, to ultimately raise my monthly premium. Forget that! I say fix his lights or kick rocks,

Hope everything works out for you OP. Just sucks that you had to go out of your way to make two threads about this, when it could have been handled in one PM stating the problem would be fixed.

from the sonds of things and how disorganized they can be I am assuming they just run this out of their house on the side and enjoy a nice tax free income.

I'm not even sure if they have a business license or insurance. It would be nice to hear from the Cincity guys....but so far only Nic has posted 1 comment in here about this situation

ah, end of page 5, I see it now.

so if you haven't talked to him why are you still posting? I seem to not understand how business on the internet works. harrassing and flaming and creating drama for someone you want to fix a mistake is the correct way to handle yourself? your first attempt to call him was after three threads were created? if you had already called him about this, maybe I missed it.

CinCity has no defense to the cracks. they should never even attempt to deflect blame anywhere else. of course they aren't going to warn you about cracks... it shouldn't happen and if it does they should be on the hook to replace them. so warning you about it is unneccessary.

As someone who works for himself, I have some advice. It's nothing revolutionary, but CinCity doesn't seem to get it.

The satisfied customers will help your business a bit. Honestly, from my own work, satisfied customers account for about 10% of my new customers. Dissatisfied customers account for about 80% of my LOST clients. It's a bit biased since I've only had 3 or 4 out of well over 100 clients say they would not come back to me for their new needs.

FIX any problem that is wrong even if you don't think it is your fault. Take the hit in time and money. It's worth it. Unfortunately, it's getting to be too late for you. If you don't do something in the client's favor we may be seeing a CinCity liquidation sale.

I spoke to Nic on the phone right after receiving the headlights and he told me he couldn't replace them and to call my insurance so I DID talk to him before making this thread. And he's also told me online yesterday that he wouldn't replace them (even though I think he should)....which is why this thread was started

I PMed them awhile back about pricing, asking them if they were as expensive as clearcorners dot com and he basically laughed at me and said they're more expensive. definitely NOT impressed and will stop my friends from doing business with them in the future.

UPDATE:

Ok so I just talked to Nic, and he was actually very helpful. He agreed to swap out my lenses with '08 lenses which I guess are less prone to cracking. So now I'll just need to find a way to go without headlights for a while or borrow some if possible while my lights are out again. Nic, I'm sorry it had to go this far but I just wanted my lights back in the same condition I sent them in. Thanks for understanding and your willing to swap the lenses. I'll let you know when I can send my lights out

Yeah I'm sure 35% of a $1500 light job is a steal of a sale. If they realistically priced their services, there would be no need for their daily sales.

This is why I'm so confused. Nic had the hands down best communicatin with me over anyone in my life. He relied to pms every morning and gave me his cell so I could text him. He relied to every text within 5 min no matter what time of day. I probably got very annoying asking so many questions, LOL but he did whatever he could to make sure I was satisfied. Like I said, I'm really surprised about this thread cause I'm sure Nic would have taken care of it with a simple call.
