Default I think my Z is a Lemon -- Plz help

Hii people.
This is the deal.
My car has 8,000 miles... 2007 350z base model.
It have 20" TSW Alloy Racing Rims, and just had a Fujita Dual Intake but I just put the stock back in.

Well, about less than a month ago before I put the intake in, I was driving when I hit the clutch and it basically stuck to the floor, then I got a bit freaked out and kicked it and it popped back up. Then I was told that there was a recall for the Slave Cylinder, so i took it in and it was replaced after leaving there over night. Now, since then it seems that the 5th gear is a bit wack, because it seems to get stuck when I try to shift into it. I was driving onto the freeway with a lot of traffic and when I went to shift into 4th gear, the clutch AGAIN got stuck, and without me noticing when I lifted my foot up and gave it gas the engine rev'd up bad, and then I put it into neutral and kicked the clutch and proceeded with my drive. Since then, it's still a bit weird to go into 5th and now its also the same with 1st gear.

The car has also been pulling, so I first took it to some mechanics I know at a local Goodyear and they checked my alignment and said it was fine, then did a tire balance and said the balance was completely off. Then they noticed that the HUB ASSEMBLY/Bearing was bad on the REAR LEFT.

I took it to Nissan Dealership. Under warranty they fixed the problem by keeping my car over night. When I went to get my car I asked them if they had checked the rest of the HUB ASSEMBLY, and they said "yes, we do a full inspection on everything to see that everything is fine" So I took off, and about 700 miles later, (now) my car has been doing a screeching sound, on the FRONT RIGHT tire and I figured it was the brakes... but I looked and the brakes were still like new, but I knew the sound was coming from the indicator. I took it back to Goodyear and my mechanic said "sorry to tell you again, but you have another bad bearing bro" and once again, its the HUB ASSEMBLY, except now on a different side. Both times it's been so bad that my mechs dont even recommend that I drive it because I might get in an accident-injury/death. So I'm really pissed that I'm going to have to take it AGAIN to the dealership. My mech also said that I'm the first person he's ever had to diagnose a car as a bad bearing... and especially on any new car.

I called the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration and made a complaint. I need to call NISSAN USA but I doubt they'll reply, and I want to pursue the LEMON LAW. What should I do? Can anyone help/advice?

Thnx for reading all of this.

I also have noticed that when I hit the gas, and shift up, the RPM arrow drops and then bounces up to the next RPM that it's at. sorta like this guy

is it suppose to do that? I know it never did that with my old 2002 Lancer...

Sounds like you have been to the dealer twice for fixes: one for the clutch and a second time for a wheel bearing. The clutch problem is serious and dangerous. The wheel bearing is not. Not sure if this is a "legal" lemon.

Google "lemon law attorney state."

You haven't mentioned how you've been driving your Z. Hub bearings can go out, but usually after severe use. Heat or sharp impacts can compromise bearing life. Are you the original owner? Have you hit any curbs, or put a wheel off the road in spirited driving?

The original owner was a kid who went into a comma and has to relearn how to walk and do everything again after a surfing accident. He had two Porsche cars, and a truck and he barely drove the Z. After his accident his dad sold all the cars and I bought the Z off of them. The car already had these rims on it, and you could tell the car was in new condition. It still even SMELLED like it came off of the dealership. I dont drive it bad, and I dont drive it crazy (drifting, sharp turns, burn outs, etc)

I drive it nicely (cuz its my baby) I do speed, but **** who doesn't. No wheel off the road, no curb hitting. nothing. It's plainly ridiculous.

wow man..

your car is just fine.

Clutch - we all had a recall on it. Simple fix = free

Now for the bearings.... I have seen another car here that had this issue and I don’t know what happened with it. I would recommend that you sell the heavy *** tsw’s and get something lighter and actually good looking - not saying get expensive volks or some other exotic wheels. In my opinion ROTA has some excellent budget lightweight products.

Also , if you dealer is an *** , find another one. There are good techs out there.

PS: I would recommend 18's or 19's ..... Think about it.... you have a race car, not a pimpmobile

I think the rims look great and I get a lot of compliments for them...

But even with these rims, the bearings shouldn't be going out every 1k mile should it?

I know they wear out, but they shouldnt for a long while

^^Again, I bought the car like this from the guy, i'd love to keep the same model rims, but smaller... I dont know if I'll get the $$$ from selling them needed to buy the same ones but smaller w/ tires

So what should I say about the clutch having the problem even after the Slave Cylinder recall fix?

It sounds like you're overreacting. Recognize that you're new to the Z and will need some time to learn it before you start labeling it a lemon. Take the car back to a dealer have the front wheel bearing replaced and the clutch checked again. BTW- since you're the second owner, you really don't know how the car was treated before you. Yeah, it smelled new, but that doesn't mean it wasn't driven hard and put away wet...

why are you taking your Z to a shop like Goodyear? Most of those places are ripoffs and they arent trained to work on your car. At least find a shop that has some trained factory Nissan Techs who might have opened their own private shop.

1. I know the guys that work there, they wouldn't 'rip' me off.
2. Its not like they're doing any sort of performance changes to my car, they just checked my wheel. I'm sure my guys know what they're doing if they were able to diagnose the first problem when NISSAN didn't. (I had taken my car to NISSAN a day before I took it to Goodyear and they "inspected it/everything" and found nothing wrong.) THEN and only then when I took my sheet to them did they say "Oh yes. Your Hub Assembly is bad. We'll warranty it for you."

After I bought it, I had the car inspected by the dealership and "nothing was wrong." Then when I went to get my recall for the Slave Cylinder they said that "everything was new condition." And I asked them if it seemed as if it had previously been "abused" and they said no.

Can anyone give me advice instead of 'critiques'? Thanks.

Fixed

As David said, find a local lemon law attorney to explain what the prerequisites are to lemon law it.

exactly. main thing i see i this is that the car was bought in a private sale (not from a delaer, etc) and unless you got a detailed warranty from the seller, you got nothing to claim "lemon law" wise. you bought a "used car" from a private seller (the background circumstances mean nothing, except to play into your pity and make a sale) and you are havign issues with it from some things that may or may not have happened to the car.

I have those wheels in 19x8/19x9.5, I love the way they look personally.
