Better Launch With Or Without TCS On?

Better Launch With Or Without TCS On?
This is for those with Z's equipped with Traction Control. I've found that you can achieve a smoother launch with TCS turned off. I'm just wondering if anyone else has made this observation. This is my first vehicle to have TCS and I'm just curious if in fact can affect my ability to make a smooth take off.
Thanks guys for any feedback you can provide.

Just turn it off if you are going for fastest straight line performance. As soon as it detects wheel spin it will reduce the throttle which causes you to instantly slow down which is not a good thing when you are trying to accelerate. If you have never driven a rear wheel drive car then you may want to first get used to handling the fact that the car can get sideways if you are not careful.

TCS
I HAVE A 2003 PERFORMANCE MODEL AND I SEEM TO ONLY HAVE THE VDC ON/OFF BUTTON. I'VE LOOKED ALL OVER AND COULD NOT SEEM TO FIND THE TCS BUTTON. SURELY IF MY CAR HAS VDC THEN IT MUST HAVE TCS, NOT TO MENTION ALL PERFORMANCE MODELS COME STANDARD WITH TCS AND VDC.
SO I WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU GUYS HAVE A BUTTON TO TURN THE TCS ON AND OFF AND IF SO PLEASE DISCLOSE ITS LOCATION. I WAS THINKING THAT IF THERE WAS A BUTTON IT SHOULD BE LOCATED NEXT TO THE VDC BUT THAT IS EMPTY NAD AFTER CONACTING THE DEALER, THEY TOLD ME IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO TURN THE TCS OFF... SOUNDS A BIT FISHY

I took it to the track, forgot to turn it off twice, couldnt break 14.5 on those 2 runs, while on like the other 8 runs with it off, I never went above 14.5.
I have VDC, but for straight line stuff, they are basicly the same. it hurt me more on the 1-2 shift than the launch even. a little wheel spin is way better than loss of power.
the PERFECT launch shouldnt matter, as you wouldnt spin the tires at all(assuming the computer doesnt over do its job) just hit the virge and be gone. but that doesnt happen much, and IMO its better to have a lil too much power and spin a bit then too little.
