One year with my Z today!!!!
I still remember the dealer calling 1 year ago today to tell me my car was here. It came in like a week early if you can believe that! I remember the long long wait up until getting the car, putting my deposit on Jan 12, 02 with pretty little info on the car, all the speculation, then the confirmation, then actually driving one of the first ones on the road with all the stares I would get!!
My car doesn't even have 11,000 miles on it, but it has about 2000 track miles! She has been to Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow, Streets of Willow, Big Willow, Infineon (Sears Point), and Thunder Hill. Not a bad year, huh?
Sure a few problems, tranny and axles just to name some, but I don't want to dwell on that. She has gone through 2 sets of tires and now nearly ending the third, 4 sets of brake pads, 5 oil changes, 2 exhaust systems, a suspension change, plenum change, intake change, and now race tires and race wheels.
I need to get another tranny and then I think this car is becoming a more serious track car. A race seat, roll bar, lightening it up a bit. By the time you know it, it will be two years.
Happy Birthday Girl!!
