What do you think could be wrong? hitting a a curb and poll?

And is it worth it to claim it on insurance?

1000 deductible, ouch man. idk you can prob squeeze the repairs out for under a G and skip the insurance company if you can get the parts used and do it yourself, and with a body shop hookup. good luck though bro

well the wheels got damaged too, I am thinking at getting everything done at Nissan. Since I am paying the 1000 might as well get it done right, it only has 4k miles just bought it in the summer...

You can bet it's gonna cost more than $1K to get it fixed! I would take it to a good, reputable body shop in your area and get an estimate. The dealership is just another repair facility and will probably farm out the bodywork to someone else and take their cut.

You didn't mention what kind of accident you were in. That would help the rest of us to guess at what needs to be done. My guess, based on the limited info you've provided, is it was a one car shunt and only your Z got damaged. Unless you're an experienced wrench with some connections in a bodyshop, save yourself the headache and just claim it on your insurance.

+1 You easily have a few thousand in damages. Im assuming that undercarriage is royally screwed up.

Im guessing by the pics that one or more suspension parts are bent. Broken axel... i doubt it. You need to get the car on a lift to see what the problem is.

Yah man... No WAY your getting out for less than 1grand... Take it to a GOOD bodyshop.. estimate... And go from there bro.. I mean.. If I were you I would buy the parts the shop needs myself used from here or craigslist and get good deals on them and just pay them labor.. What happened?? Obviously it is your fault I guess.. Lesson learned

I did the same exact thing to my car about a year ago and ended up costing thousands in damages mine was alot worse tho.. chances are if you hit it at a fairly good speed theres alot more damage to your rear end then what you can see.. i didnt go through my insurance because i didnt want to jack up my rates but i wish i did cause that set me back finacially for a lil bit.. so i'd go through your insurance company GL

i have a similar damage on my fender. do not believe your eye think that only the body got damaged. In fact there were more damage on the wheel bearing, bent control arm, and etc. end up I paid more than $2500 for the repair myself in addition of $ 500 deductuble for my insurance.

I would not have the dealer fix it. Most dealers expertise is not body repair any longer. Check around for who does good work and take it there. They should use OEM parts, you can ask to verify.

Most dealers send the work out! I know most of the BMW dealerships in Seattle area have a local shop due their work.

Find the local shop that works on high end cars and have them do the insurance work.

definately over 1000. your car is brand new dude!stay away from used.ins company will pay for all new if the part needs to be replaced.go over everything with the dealer if thats where your gonna bring it.tell him you want all new parts and maybe he can talk ins.into paying for new quater, maybe do a little sledge hammer action to make it look a little worse.but if anyone has seen the damage already i wouldnt touch anything unless you like jail.just go overthe ins estimate with the shop and make sure the shop knows your expectations.

Ya I called a local dealership and they told me they do the actual work down the street at the collison place....

I told them about some other shops and I told them I want oem parts put back on and they said they would do this but other would use aftermarket parts...

I hope everything works out...

I have some damage to my rear fender but it's not enough to replace it. I also need paint on my door, side skirt, and rear fender. Someone came into my lane as I was accelerating and it gave me a good bit of damage. The damage isn't close to what yours looks like and they quoted $1400. I'd say go with insurance. Good luck.
