As cold as it gets here, I won't be storing for the winter. I have a very nice car cover, and that should protect the car while I'm gone. The car still won't be driven for quite a while though.

Here is a pic of my Z sleeping in the garage. I don't really store the car for the winter but usually drive it once a month or so when the weather is nice. I do have it on a Battery Tender and I put Stabil in the gas tank. Other than that I just dust it occasionally and clean it every time I drive it.

Watch for flat spots on the tires. I know when my Z sits for 2 weeks I can feel them when I drive.

Flat spots on tires are kind of a thing of the past aren't they? As long as you have max pressure in the tire? I thought I remember reading that. Also, I thought I read it was not a good idea to put the Z on jack stands for the winter...

I just did my winter prep as well. I had a set of Bridgestone Blizzak lm25's installed and now I am ready. I live near Chicago, Il so I am sure they will be used.

Bad thing about it I never told them to do it. I was pissed. Another reason why I hate stealerships and why I don't care if the big 3 go down.

yeah flat spots take a pretty long time to form. if u are scared of flat spots then u can move the car once a month or something and u should be fine. i have never had a problem with flat spots before and i dont max out the psi on the tires.

I take it day by day. Yesterday, it was 19F in the morning and snowing. Z stayed home. Today, it was 26 and dry. Z went out. I'm not precious about salt or getting it dirty - it's a car. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 46. Z definitely going to work tomorrow. In this area, we'll continue this dance on and off all winter.
