POSEM UP! Let's see your Z in storage for the winter
I was supposed to store my Z last year, but my garage space at my friend's place didn't open up in time, so she just sat out in the freezing cold. I occasionally used a car cover, but it really didn't do too much for me. I hated looking out and seeing ice and snow all over the paint I worked so hard to protect
This year, I have a garage space, and the Z is all tucked in under her car cover for the frigid winter months. I don't have any pics here yet, but I need to add some Stabil to the tank this week sometime, so I will snap some photos then. I feel so relieved that I don't have to worry about the Z over the winter, and with my Jeep Cherokee beater I can now park in spaces closest to the grocery store, Home Depot, the movie theater, the mall etc etc

Unfortunately my Z is at my shop with the "face off". Re installing busted head lights due to an unforeseen issue.

But i'll be bringing her home tonight after i put her all together. YAY. I actually have an outside car tent that i stuff her in for the winter/or mostly everyday. I do not put her on JACK STANDS, cause the stretched springs would wear out, and w/e i get the chance i start her up and let her reach normal op temps so that the engine seals and w/e else does not get dry rotted out. This year im installing a Heater that auto goes on and off depending on the Temps as well. I've plastic garden wrapped, sanded, and patio blocked the flooring of the tent so any water or condensation doesn't get under the Z as well. Has survived 3 years like this so far no problems. So this year with the heat, and the undercarriage protected Z should be fine. I've also long ago and w/e i get the chance undercoated the whole bottom chassis as well.
Pic of Z with my ballest blown. Sorry only tent pic i have as of yet. And this was b4 i did the ground work to it.

Your storage methods for 3 months seem a little extreme. Like one guy said, flat spots take a long time to form. Full gas tank and the gas stabilizer plus new oil is a good choice. Putting it on jack stands and covering it in a garage makes it kind of difficult to do one of the most important things... start it and let it warm up every few weeks so that the oil doesn't settle to the the point that you don't get any lubrication the first time you start it after 3 months, and since you're the jack stands and car cover kinda guy I would assume that's something you would be concerned about. Just my .02, if I had a Scion (decent car, non-beater) to drive around during the winter I would probably be in a different position. But since the Z is my DD.... I'm not.
I'm with you bud.. People are way too **** with there cars here. I have a Lexus also and i drive that through winter rain and snow. its just a car people u guys act like its a million bucks.. I guess i dont care about my car because i drive it right

There is lots of debate over the start it up every few weeks method. I keep the tires off the ground to also save the strain on the suspension.
Ah Texas FTW! but we're supposed to get snow tomorrow? highly unlikely. plus its my only vehicle lol so she wont get stored. but if she did to prevent flat spots in the tires i would do massive burnouts in my garage once a week
Once again...doesn't it strain the suspension more to put the Z on stands? Two people have confirmed it in this thread so far...
^^+1^^
Allowing the car to sit for long periods of time with no load on the suspension is generally considered to be a bad idea. They cover it in this thread as well Ultimate Guide to Storing Your Z
I feel your pain though...PA winters FTL!!!
