Default Bridgestone on the Brickyard Car?

I was looking at the large pics jay has posted and found bridgestones on the 17" wheels. You guys see the same?

Awesome colors...I'm sticking with my sunset color and hoping it turns out just as good and unique. That brickyard was the hardest to peg initially and may turn out to be the sleeper, though. White is the only color I'd just refuse to get.

I agree about Brickyard being the hardest to peg, as the swatch in the brochure, and the color at Nissandriven didn't even seem to match. I hope those that were brave enough to take a chance on Brickyard are glad that they did. I think they should be, as it looks great. But Le Mans Sunset is going to be the jaw-dropping color IMO. All the colors are going to look awesome, but track trims in Daytona Blue and Le Mans Sunset are going to be the most stand-out vehicles of the line.

according to ZISME, bridgestone potenzas will be the tire of choice on all models. he said the michelins were just on the preproduction cars. is this good or bad?

well.....it depends. M. Schumacher uses Bridgestone, and Juan Pablo Montoya uses Michelins.

I guess we'll find out on sunday during the Grand Prix of Monaco.

IMO....i would rather have the Michelins. I have them on my other car and love them.

Yes, i could settle for those. I've heard nothing but good reviews of the tire. Although i'd have to get some snow tires for teh car in the winter. Summer tires won't cut it in Chicago's winter

I'm leaning towards liking the Bridgestones a bit more...

Default Bridgestone vs Michelin

I was leaning towards the Michelins until I saw Scafremon's picture. Now I'm definitely in the "Potenza" camp!!!

Aren't Bridgestone the same as Firestone?

haha, you are so funny Scafremon! Nice comparison, it's a no win situation for Michelin!

I did a price check on Tirerack again, the Michelin are like $245 ea
and the Bridgestone are like $190 ea.

I definitely feel that THOSE Bridgestones have a lot of POTENZ-AL especially up against the fat rolls of the Michelin man.

I too am glad to see bridgestone on the 17" rims. I am also glad to see on no matter what wheel size you get, there will be higher profile tires on them. I am running on low profile tires now, and the ride quality and wheel well space is bad. I really dont like wheel well space. I like the way low profile tires look, however ride is compromised. Everything about these cars will be great.

I guess that pretty much ends the Bridgestone vs. Michelin debate.

I wonder what other issues we can quickly resolve using this case as precedence.

Now I am totally confused. I thought we are talking about tire here. Look like Bridgestone Marketting department have some edge.

OK, a new test. Are you guys jumping ship if Ford decided to put a pretty model in front of a Mustang?

Question

A word of caution... I went to an Infiniti dealer yesterday, and I saw an I35 with 225/50-17 tires (same as the Z's 17" front). The tires were Bridgestone Potenza RE92's which are all-season performance tires that are just OK. I would prefer the Pilot Sport A/S over the RE92's. The question is... Will Nissan use all-season or Summer tires? I would imagine the Performance and Track would ship with Summer tires.

ok you guy's convinced me(via the pics) that bridgestones would be more fun to drive with . But Nissan03 has a good point. I would rather have the Pilot A/S than the RE92's.

It *would* be cool if Nissan would use the S-03, RE730, or even the RE040. That being said, I'll be driving my car in the Winter, so I'd prefer all-seasons... The Pilot Sport A/S's are a pretty good compromise. I've had two sets of wheel/tires in the past, but I really don't have anywhere convenient to store them.
