I'm sure the template they have to use will set it 1/4" up from the emblem. You asking them to change the position could effect the way the spoiler sits.

If you don't trust the dealer then have a body shop do it. Either way if they f**k it up they should replace the whole hatch (but good luck there).

I didn't trust the dealer either but I was lucky enough to have had time to change my pre-order and had it installed at the port where they had a lot of practice.

this is driving me nuts! I told them to call my before they touch the car. (I want to see it in the white paper!) I will go there and ask to view the template they will be using to install the aero package. I will clarify with them that this will be done EXACTLY as it is on the paper. And if it is wrong they will replace the entire hatch PERIOD! I will get it all in writing.

Made one more decision since then. I have decided to watch the ENTIRE process, both front and rear spoilers. I will be there to make sure they do everything correct and precise and that is the way it will get done! This not only makes me feel better, but now they WILL NOT **** this up since I will be there watching them to make sure it is done correctly. I can't wait to see what it is like taking a drill to my z's hatch, I am scared!

Will they even let you into the service bay to watch? Most shops are real sticky about that due to insurance reasons.
