Default AM I CRAZY?!? Getting mine tomorrow!!

OMG, I'm about to have a heart attack, I'm so excited!

Found a Brickyard Enthusiast in Atlanta that arrived at the dealer today and bought it. Dude on Ebay put a $1000 nonrefundable deposit and his wife couldn't justify a toy car with a baby on the way. He just wanted his deposit back.

Basically got the car for $500 over MSRP (MSRP + $499 "consumer fee"). I lose out on my Cerritos deal, but $1500 for a car NOW. Wanted Daytona Blue, but Durio sold me on the Brickyard color.

Booked the flights for me and my gf from San Diego. The ride back is gonna be the sweetest 2100 mile road trip of my life!!!!!!!

Thanks Ethan, I saw this. Just like Nissan was urging the dealers to do MSRP, this is Nissan's way of protecting the consumer.

Besides, I'm not paying the guy anything. He's got a nonrefundable deposit he just wants back. Gonna pick me up at the airport, and we're riding straight to the dealer. I pay the dealer (which includes his $1000 deposit). Once the keys are in my grubby hands, I'm handing him his $1000 cash.

Yes, the things we do for love....make that lust.

Cool- I didn't want to see someone get screwed- by the way- I totally understand what you're doing- makes perfect sense to me, and probably many other people on this board. Good luck!

Ethan

Angry UPDATE: Not getting this Z after all...RANT follows!!

****ING DICKWAD!!!!!!!!_+&^&%^!

So the guy goes to the dealer and sees that 5 people are waiting in line for him to say no. Dudes are offering him $2000 on the spot, he calls me back and wants $1600 (his deposit plus $600 profit, since I already paid $400 for a 1 way plane ticket). I'm like, WTF?!, we had a deal. Take it or leave it he says. I just cancelled my flight.

I am so ****KKKKING PISSED right now!@$@!@$ I'm sorry about the language Jay, but had to let this out...

lmao, maybe you should count your blessings. Just think how pissed you would have been if you had gotten there and they already sold it and you had no plane ticket home. That may have been grounds for an *** whoopin. Instead of worrying about when u were gonna get your z, you would be worring about when your trial was gonna be for killing that ******* dealer.

Unhappy

Aw, dude. That blows! I too, hope that you can get your money back on the plane ticket. Those cheap rates one often gets from the travel sites usually say no cancellations, no refunds, not transferable.

Since you got this through eBay, there must be some recourse you can take. (??)

Default I feel better already

Good support group guys. I got my money back through Southwest because I bought a fully refundable fare.

I wish I had AT&T this morning, so I can "reach out and touch someone"

Things happen for a reason. I'll just continue the wait...
