Anybody knows anything about this guy?

I don't wanna get in to second scam.
Ive known him via the ToyotaNation forums since like 2004... He is a stand up guy, unlike the scammer in this thread. If he's selling a set of wheels, you can be sure he actually has them. He's made a ton of transactions via TN and I've never heard anything bad about him in the 5 years I've been around there.

Log on to toyotanation.com and type in the same username to look him up.

And, that is why people have been asking him for the Police Report # to prove his statements. Funny, how that has been ignored by him on several occasions.

And, his stories are not consistent. Habitual liar.

Even IF he is innocent, he will be, eventually, arrested and have to prove he is guilty or not.

He can use the scammed money to pay for a lawyer. Either way he has "F" himself.

The news is littered with people commiting all sorts of crimes followed with surprised accounts of people who knew them in their daily life saying that they would have never thought they were capable of such things. With the economy the way it is, and money being tight everywhere, people get desperate and desperate people do things they don't normally do. Investment consultants jumping out of planes to fake their own deaths anyone? It's a crazy time indeed.
People need to reread what coolblue wrote. Everyone's wondering how such a standup guy can do such a thing. Well I've got news for you all... some people, when they're put into a tough situation, will do whatever it takes... lie, steal, murder...for the medical bills of their loved ones, or to climb out of debt. The way the economy is these days, we need to be more careful of this sort of situation. People are more and more tempted to steal from others in order to make ends meet.

It will take Paypal up-to 3 weeks to investigate. And, they don't do updates during that time period. Just be sure you have an incident #.

UPDATE.... I just got off the phone with paypal... they said to me that there are multiple claims against the hollisterdout@yahoo.com account. For my claim he has until the 22nd, if he does not respond by then with tracking numbers from the shipping company, and signatures of the merchandise being recieved, then when the clock runs out 1/22 for me, my return will be made instantly back to my account. Why am i mentioning this.... any purchase made over 250 U.S dollars has to be signed for, paypal requests this proof of sellers in order for sellers to keep their money. So if you purchased through paypal and have a purchase over $250, then just make sure you have escalated the dispute to a claim. The timer is 10 days from the time it becomes a claim, if there is no repsonse with proof by the end of the 10 days, they refund you your money no matter what and then they go after him. I was told if i dont have merchandise then i get my money back.... that simple. So if your on the paypal side of things dont worry as much, i still want this m**********r to get caught and learn what its like to play with the big boys. For anyone who made smaller purschases, call paypal for their requirements of getting your money back.

I hope this helps relieve some stress for you guys that purchased on paypal.

***Note*** as for the escrow website that was provided earlier, if your going to make a purchase its a good deal. Im an auctioneer and when high ticket cars sell, we recommend it to the buyers if they are selling for resale. Otherwise paypal is a really safe way to go. Paypal has all sorts of strategic alliances with all major shippers; UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL, etc... they can see if the tracking information and signatures are valid or if they are bogus BS.

If you have a dispute, escalate it to a claim asap, as mentioned in an earlier thread you only have so much time before you can make claims against sellers.

I did exactly what you've done, my time was set to be 1/22, too. However, the rep i spoke to told me that paypal can only take whatever left in his account, a full refund is not guaranteed as you can see if you read through paypal policy. I really hope its like what you've explained that paypal will do an instant refund, which i really really doubt. who knows, lets wait until the 22rd and see whats going to happen.

Do not hope everything about refund. My refund was failed already he doesn't have any money left in his account.
My time set to 1/12.
What's happening right now with paypal is they just locked his account.
Can't do anything more than that.

I talk to paypal supervisor and he said

Paypal: "He will be locked until he clear all this"

me: "what if he just stop using Paypal"

Paypal: "After long enough time corrector agency will go after him"

me: "long enough? how long?"

Paypal: " I can't tell you how long does it take to investigate. Each case has different information"

me: "So I can only wait?"

Paypal: "yes sir"

Hey everyone, sorry for everyone that got scammed. Here is some info that I was able to dig up on the guy. I found his photobucket account:

http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p...out/?start=all

And I attached some pics of what I guess is him and his Elise, I also attached a pic of his 350z with a clear view of his license plate:

160ADW

Also, his location on car domain is tagged as:

Fishers, Indiana

He also may be scamming on some DJ forum as "Elektro Hoe" (see attached image).

Well, I seriously hope you guys catch this guy and get all your money back, and if he's in the army I hope they discharge his *** and lock him away.

Best of luck to you all.

Unsticky this. People ignore stickies by default. I thought the thread was moved when I didn't see it normally listed.
