Default D1 Grand Prix was GREAT!

OH MY! The D1 Grand Prix at Irwindale Speedway was a blast. For those of you that dont know, D1 was a drifting competition/show. It was the first time a drift show was done in the US. Attendance was the highest in driting competition history both japan and worldwide. i heard about 9000 people attended, but i think there were more...not sure exactly. All the top drifters were there with their silvias, skylines, corollas, 350z's etc. Also, today was the first time they had every single car that competed(that didnt break down) running the course at the same time. They did it at the end for show. Very very very very cool. Sooo much tire smoke a couple of accidents. If any hasnt seen a drift show, GO! ur not going to regret it. Also, there was a car show right outside too, so it was a drift show and car show in one. for only 18 bucks. Look for the video, should be out in japan soon. Last thing, believe it or not, a corolla took first place over skyline, silvia, and rx-7.

This was the first D1 Championships held in the US
It was a great event... though I kinda felt bad for the US drivers... but they did a great job considering going against the top Japanese driver....

WoooooWOOOOOO!!!! The best show i've ever been to...!!!! Actually it was two car shows and a drift show. there was the drift show, the car show inside and the parkinglot. Did you guys see how many Z's;;Sti;;; evo8;;;ae86;; there were in the parking lot. What you paid 18$$, damn i paid 20. I was kinda upset though, the z's didnt really look like they could drift that well. Even the drift king Orido couldnt drift that well in the z.. Oh well atleast they had some z's in the show. Im there next year for sho......

most of the zs were stock, no tubos. only one had a supercharger. the sivlias were really souped up so give it a chance. when the zs start having tubos i think they might do just as well. and i paid 17. look for flyers on the web, u get alot of discounts that way.

there was only one D1 driver search. I drove from PA to California to enter into it with my RX7.
