Angry got rear ended today

Well I JUST got back in the states from Iraq. Bought the Z while I was on deployment, and had been driving for all of maybe 5 days. I was on the way home on the north side of Houston Texas and was rolling in some traffic. Everyone was doing around 70 and all of sudden WHAM. Slip light comes on and theres a grill filling up my rear view mirror. Guy then cut around me and hit the next exit and ran a stop sign. Didn't even bother trying to follow cause of the traffic. Guess I just wasn't meant to have nice things.

P.S.

Geez, not good; particularly just getting back from the war.

Don't let it throw you, though. Your insurance should pay for it.

Odd plate number for Indiana.

You might try this.

Its a specialty plate, probably one of the In God We Trust tags. Did you report it? I know in the bigger cities its usually not a high priority crime, but with a tag number at least they can track down the vehicle. For insurance purposes that's more important than who was driving.

well believe it or not the damage wasn't bad. It was more the fact that he hit me at 70 mph and the car got loose. Darn near shat my pants. Thank God for VDS!

Yea, I called 911 and tried to report it but in Houston a hit-and-run offense isn't THAT important I guess. They blew me off on the phones and I had to drive out to a substation and get some paper work to fill out and turn in.

Yes, it was an In God We Trust plate. Had a hell of a time trying read it, and almost got hit again trying to get a good read. Maybe I should of let him hit me that second time though. my front left fender and his right rear quarter-panel. Think he would of found the ditch, but I didn't and I still got the car for it.

Bumping at that speed can be very unnerving, glad you were able to hold on to it. Were they able to run the tag or try a local track on the SUV?
