Question Cigarette Lighter? Cup Holder?

Where is the Cigarette Lighter? I need it to plug in my radar detector.

Also, does anyone have a picture of a cup holder in the car? I will primarily concentrating on driving, but everyone gets thirsty.

Thanks in advance!

Probably be better to hard wire it into the fuse box or something like that. You don't want those cords hanging down all over the place. Mainly for aesthetics, but more importantly so the cops don't see them. I have a Valentine One detector and a Mirage jammer in my Stealth TT and I hid all the wires up under the sun visors and down the pillars and under the dash into the box and you can't even tell I have them from the outside of the car. Now if Smokey wants to stick his head inside, he'd see them, but so far, none have.

I haven't see any picture or post on the power outlet. Many new cars now have it in the center console for cell phone. Have you consider a cordless model? It'd be easier to remove and take it with you.

For cup holder, I recalled some post indicates that it is in the center console behind the shifter.

Man, I'm hoping there are cup-holders. My one vice (other than my wife) is loads of espresso!

I have a quadruple shot every day and sometimes double that!

It supoosedly had THREE cup holders but I'm not sure where they are. If you did a search of zcar you'd probably find it. ZISME posted it I believe.

The wireless detectors are nice (no wires to hide) but most comparison tests show them to be inferior and less reliable than the wired ones.

not to get completely off topic here....but I was reading an Autoweek about the new Honda SUV. That thing has "sweet and sour" cup holders. You know, the one from McDonalds. I thought cars were for driving.

BrianZ....how are you going to shift gears when your shaking from stimulants?

Sweet and sour holders? Now that's going just TOO far! I do not approve.

After the espresso, when I can actually manage to get my sweaty shaking palm around the shift-**** I can move it like LIGHTNING! But, up until that point its a little tough. The worse part is all the old ladies honking at me on the freeway on-ramps because I blew a shift.

We've all got our little problems. My monkey is called "double-shot." JK!

Question Valentine 1

Hi,

Does anyone know if Valentine 1 can fit in the space for Navi (I didn't order it)?

Thanks,

Bruce

i'm pretty sure it will fit there . . . the V1 unit isn't that big, and it's definitely much smaller than the NAVI unit.

Judging from the picture of the space we'll have in a Nav-less Z, you should be able to fix 3 or 4 Valentine One's in there. It is pretty small. Also, it should be obvious (I hope) that you'll need the remotely installed V-One to put it in there, not the regular one.

I think he might be talking about that little "remote" display you can buy from Valentine for $40.

Anybody else notice that the center console (between the seats, not the dash) is different in the Silver and Sunset show cars? It's not that much of a difference, just that the various cubbies are in different places.

I'm against the idea of cupholders in cars, even though I find myself using mine fairly frequently. It doesn't look like there's any storage in the doors, so any little nooks and crannies will I'm sure be appreciated.

By REMOTE I mean the one that has the RADAR receiver mounted somewhere else, like where it has a clear path to the radar gun. If you put a regular V-1 in the storage compartment where the NAV goes, it can't "see" the radar to tell you about it. The one I am referring too has the receiver mounted in the grill of the car out front and the display can be ANYWHERE inside the car. Of course, you'd lose the rear detector capability of the V-1 this way since it is really TWO detectors, one aimed forward and one toward the rear (the regular one that is).

Default cup holders

There is one cup holder that pulls out in front of the passengers left knee. The other two cup holders are in the center console behind your right elbow if you are shifting. There should be a removable cup holder inside that compartment. If you dont have one, some one must have stolen yours. All Z came with them I believe. BEN
