Now that the 370 is here will aftermarket parts go up or down for the 350?

^It makes modding more exclusive. If parts were suberbly cheap then everyone would be doing it. I see a lot of Z's around unmodded and when I ask why they tell me it costs too much.

No why would they? Porsche released the new 911 with PDK, will prices on 350z aftermarket parts go down?
The two are totally unrelated. Just because they appear to be the same car (name wise) they are not. So when a new car is released it has no effect on the price of parts for another car. The only thing that has an effect on price is the age of the car, number of companies trying to sell parts in that segment and how many knock offs are floating around for that car.

i dont think so. The manufactures and retailers have to cover their costs and make a profit. Since there are so many 350z's out there, there will still be demand for 350z parts. I would look at 300z's vs 350z's and their aftermarket support for an example of what may happen to 350vs370s.
No way. 300zx parts are still crazy priced and that cars old as grampa farts.
I mean the supras old and even though the cars price dropped it still cost 100k to get it in the 1000 hp range. I mean its going to affect car prices but aftermarket knows as long as that cars being drivin theres someone that will pay as much as needed to mod it.

This also allows everyone to easily pick out the broke *** kids and flat out retards.
Look for the cheap add-ons.

if the supply of parts related to the 350z stay the same, but more owners are swtiching to the 370z, i would figure that the manufacturers would want to get rid of their excess inventory. hence, why i think prices would go down.
although they are two different cars, they are related. although its only been out a month, im going to assume (guess) that a fair share of buyers would be previous 350z owners.

This thread is like asking "Wendy's has a new chicken sandwich; will the price of it's milkshakes go up or down?"
learn to read: "im going to assume" this is based on the interest level from the 370z threads on this site (both positive and negative), so in that sense, the two cars are related (unlike previous post relating porsche PDK to 370z)
second, of cousre i would like to back up my post with facts, but please show me how to compile these statistics you are asking for. so im supposed to search the amount of 370z's sold, and then find out what the previous owner's car was? if you can figure out a solution, please tell me
aftermarket parts are indirectly affected as the 350z gets older, and more models come out. do you think the manufacturers are going to produce more of the products for older cars? do you think they are going to keep R&D on these older cars or relocate them to newer models?
and to answer your question, if wendy's new chicken sandwich came out, it could affect the price of milkshakes, based on customers said preference of sandwich w/ drink, seasonal adjustments (summer/winter), yadda-yadda-yadda....but im just being factitious here, so i apologize
