These types of threads crack me up. You cannot claim the 350z cannot handle as well as the rx8, if you do you are simply following the thrend that this website has set.

Another person reply to that..

2007 350z Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.93 g (car and driver)
2004 rx8 Skidpad .93g (car and driver)
2009 370z 0.97 g (car and driver)

The Z has been an equal in handling (if not better on some courses) and superior on power. And i own an rx8.

Do you have to say anymore the Z car RULES!!!

Personally I think the Rx-8 takes a curve more effortlessly then my 350Z, but I just love walking back to my Z and burning rubber by accident because I'm now use to forcing a can to Go and in a Z you don't have to do that. And the 370Z is just an improvement on relative greatness.

I think there is a difference in a UK TR7 or MGB or RX-8 and a Cayman S or Lotus Espirit or the Z car. Ones a light numble sporty car and the others are Powerful Sports car. Yeah I know the Z not in those cars class or money or curb appeal wise but right foot wise come get some!! imho

"Handling" is defined by more than just a 300' skid pad test. There IS a reason that the RX-8 kicks the 350Z's butt in an autocross.

Ok that's a point and I agree but you have useable handling and autocross which is going around orange and black road cones.

When ever you open the definition up to a actual track with some straight aways and all of the sudden the Z becomes the RX-8 equal if not superior.
Most of these races the Z wins until you park the cars and start talking about how the RX-8 does things or its cute 4 doors. If you are going anywhere miles of straight roads have to be invovoled.

Riddle me this if the RX-8 winning autocrossing is so important why isn't its sells on the level of the Z world wide not just in the USA.

Now mind you I like the RX-8 but I'd want lots of heads if a 18 wheeler bearing down on me a mile down the road, If I haven't reved the engine up, you almost have to pull over like in a 4 cylinder chevy Vega. Rev'd up the 8 has no problem my point is the Z you don't need that big of lead.

But kuods to the RX-8 on a long cross country road trip its ride is smoother then the old Zs. I like the RX-8 for some uses.

And that was without the big Type-R wing and flux capacitors.
