stock wheels on the 350z wont rotate they have a pin in the rotor to keep idiots like the jifi lubes from doing it. They are stupid though i went in for an oil change one day and i run 275's out back and 255's in font with 2 inch lip on wheels and almost 4 in the back the idiot asked me if i had rotated my tires in the past 6 months i just kinda stared at him.

YEah i had to take my pin out due to custom size wheels ... =/ but i thought same thing, smart nissan ppl to think of a quick and easy solution preventing idiots of doing something that was not ment to be done in first place ..
Not sure why you lumped TireRack in there - and not sure why the post to begin with. Most cars can, and should have tires rotated - I don't see where it says EVERY car should do it. It is up to the owner/driver of the car not to be the idiot, and to either take their Z to someplace better than Jiffy Lube (like how about your own garage?) or let the place know that the Z is not a typical soccer mom vehicle. My $.02
I would love to be there when a first timer try to rotate the tires like that and comes out and tells you something is wrong with your rotors or wheel because it wont sit right... I think i would die laughing....
I don’t trust any quick lube/tire places. I had an engine blow in my 3000gt because they didn’t tighten down my drain plug. And I have had 6 wheel studs cross threaded because they don’t hand tighten at first and just stick it on there with an air gun and go as tight as they can. But that’s what you get when you let idiot high school kids work on your car. 4 studs at palm tire and 2 at discount. so now i take off my wheels and have someone drive me up there
You can rotate the tires, you just have to dismount and remount.
Depends on the tires. With the Potenza RE050s they are asymmetric so they can't be flipped (dismout/remount). The RE040s aren't so they can be flipped.
