Gas cap off
I filled up the other day and for the first time in 38,000 miles, I was distracted (my lady called me and I jump when she does that!) and forgot to put the gas cap back on 
I hit the freeway and about 10 miles down the road I was told by another driver. I stopped and replaced it and tried to wipe off the circular black scuff marks on the fender and went on my way.
Well, the reason I post this is that I was pretty sure I should have gotten a CEL within a mile or less according to others experience w/this mistake. This concerns me because if it (ECU) didn't alert me to the open cap on a closed system, is it failing in any other area?
Any thoughts? Regards, Jim
