Default unfriendly Z owner in rutgers

im driving down george street to go to home depot to get some double sided tape (wonder if i bought the right one)

anyway..there was a black z with gunmetal gt7s and i rolled down the window to say hi or wtvr (there was traffic and his window was down too)

absolutely no acknowlegement

guess he was too good for me

wait till i get my wheels and have a bigger lip than he does!

i have a wrx and on the wrx forum they always talk about waving at each other but i've never actually seen anyone try to wave at me or even make eye contact with me. and i see a lot of wrxs. is it common for car owners of the same model to wave at each other?

Did you actually say "hi" to them and they snubbed you or did you just roll down your window?

Hey Havabooz, I think that was me you saw passing by tonight. Sorry I seemed snobby but I never saw you til you were right next to me and I was moving already finally after the sick traffic. I was caught off guard. I just saw you look at my car at the end.

I tend to do that because I also go to NJIT and I pass the ghetto and I try to keep looking ahead because I've had strangers coming up to my car and trying to talk to me and asking me if they could get a ride or try to sell me something out of nowhere. Not a good idea! I know it's totally different but like I said my intent was not to diss you at all .

I didn't get a good look at your car! Gotta change that.

NJIT=New Jersey Institute of Technology.

I can't really get a good gauge on how good the tires are yet cause I just got the rims today. Well I got it as a package deal with the tires. It came mounted and balanced.

Just PM me if you want to meet up.

they came mounted!..thats gotta be a good feeling...its hard to find a trusted shop to mount and balance....there is a guy at the Gulf station on 18 (corner of commercial ave)

he had signs for toyo and stuff so i stopped by...but i dont know if i trust him with 2500 wheels

as for tires..the only option i have is falken or nitto..everything else is sold out

Yo guys, I plan on attending Rutgers Camden Law school next year and I would be commuting from Atlantic CIty. Is it out of the question to drive my Z there becasue of the parking situation? I have heard that you can't park your car up there becasue it is straight ghetto....

I passed by Rutgers College this morning and saw a silverstone parked across the police department with a stillen grille. Was that you Hava?

Never been to Rutgers Camden myself but I hear the same thing. Pretty ghetto.

I wouldn't say the parking is ghetto, the problem is, there just isn't enough of it. College ave is the toughest are to get a spot. The deck there sucks, and there are accidents and door dings all the time. The other campuses aren't as bad, but they aren't good. I still owe them over $250 in parking tickets, and I got all of them while I had a permit. (I have no intentions of ever paying them, the only thing they can do is to keep me from getting a copy of my transcript, and I don't need that any more). The best suggestions for parking a car at RU is to park at one of the outer campuses (Bush/Livingston) and taking the bus.

yup thats me...did you notice the underwings...im sorta thiking they arnt worth 500 bux..but i had to have them..

i have a very intricate parking system...if im off by a minute ill get a ticket...i have 80 bux in rutgers parking tickets already

from 8am-2am i can park in the big college ave garage

but from 2am-8am i have to be at those "free" meters...i dont like leaving it on the street...but its across from Rutgers police dpt. so im a little relieved

..meanwhile..i dont know if you read my other thread..but if u plan on getting tints..beware of those rutgers police..got pulled over and given a 40 buck ticket..for tints that already cost 180

Yeah I think I read that post about the tints. Sorry to hear that man. As for me, tints aren't on my immediate plans.

I didn't get to see the underwings. A car was real close to you blocking the view.

I would be commuting 3-4 times a week. I don't mind putting the miles on my Z....(uugh...lol), but I definitley wouldn't risk some crackhead trying to jack my car. I have a beater without A/C and sex appeal, but I guess I could use it if it as bad as you guys are describing it.

don't live on campus any more, I was there a few years ago. back then I had a '88 Celica, and wasn't too concerned about the dings. I still hang out at some of the bars in New Brunswick, and usually when I do, I have one of my friends drive.
