How long will you have your Z
I'm really interested in knowing the amount of time people plan to have their Z.
Obvioulsy buy a new car has a great deal of financial reprecussions. But I realize that the need for the next best thing can be an unstoppable driving force for some.
I bought my car with the intent of keeping it 6-8 years. I waited for a long time to find something I not only loved, but could live with daily.
I thought about a poll, but also wanted to hear some of the rational for why or why not forum members might keep their cars.
So let us know!

I plan on keeping my car for a long time hopefully. I goto to school full time so I bought the extended Nissan 100,000 mile warranty. I put a lot of miles on my cars. We got an awesome deal on that thanks to my dad.
Same as last two responses. I hope to keep my baby for as long as she can run! I was stopped the other day by a guy in a Stingray, and was complimenting me on my Z. He told me he had an older Z, when he was much younger, and said he had ZERO problems for all 20 years he had it! I would love something like that

Right now, I plan on about 5 years. But it all depends on what the next generation Z is like. This is the first ”good” Z since the 240. If Nissan screws up the next generation like they did after the original Z, I might have to keep it 30 years!

Probably a year or so. It's becoming not too practical very quickly for me. I baby-sit for my cousin and I have to steal my moms SUV to go get them. So I'll probably get an RX-8 or G35 next.
I will probably own the car until I die. I was throwing around the idea of selling the car to put me in a better financial situation, but I know I would regret it later on down the road if I did. Most older guys that I know are into cars tell me "never sell your first new car" - a few of them even spent lots of time and money recovering their first car and restoring it. Plus, since I am a pre-order I have all the original pre-order letters and mailings which will be cool to have in the future.

EXACTLY. That's why I'm only leasing mine. When the lease is up there is bound to be a new super hot car that I'll be dying for. A 2007 Toyota Supra perhaps? Maybe a 450z?
