the g35c is a VERY nice car and looks sexy... i've seen a lowered black one with polished/chrome rims and a shaved rear and it just screams at you. that said, the other night i was parked at chili's and as usual parked away from the crowd a bit... when i came out a silverstone g35c was parked right next to me! when you compare both right next to each other like that (same color even) it really hits you how the z is different... and to me, different in a great way. the z looks more "compressed" with that great roofline and as someone mentioned, looks very agressive whereas the g35 just looked like most normal coupes out there.

 

I bet the answers would be different if we ask the same question on a G35 coupe forum!

 

i like the taillights....why couldnt the Z get LED's?

 

My friend has a G35 and after seeing my car, he wants to give his G35 to his G'friend and buy an 04 Z! Personally I like the shape of the Z better, however the rear portion of the G I like a lot more with the LED and beefy looking trunk area.

 

I prefer the rear of the G coupe and front of the 350, I dont care for the long wheelbase/look on the G coupe. Overall Z looks better but the G35C definately has it advantages over the 350.

 

Nah, they'd probablly all just say they wish the Z woulda come out before they had kids and needed a back seat!

 

Now that gentlemen is what I call a true Z lover!

 

I think the G looks great, except if it has the aero pkg with spoiler. The spoiler is the worst thing I've ever seen. It make's the rear of the car look like a freakin spatula! Plus the underbody spoiler also ruins the clean lines of the car.

But the Z just is beautiful, spoiler or not!

Interior of the G is boring, almost ugly and cheap compared to other luxury cars. The Z's interior is spartan, but who really cares about the Z's interior?

 

I like the G35C, I think it's a sexy *** car.....

I don't know, I can't compare the Z and G35c, they're both g'looking cars in their own way....

Z = sexy sports car

g35c = sexy sports coupe

Both get a 10 on the "exterior styling scale" from me.....

 

When I first saw the Z and the G35 my initial reaction was 'I don't know about the Z.. I think I want to get a G35' Now, from a magazine shot, the G35 looks like the better of the two, but like someone elluded to in a previous post, when I finally saw a Z in person? Game Over. lol You gotta C the Z in person to really appreciate the exterior look of the car. Park both cars side by side, same colors, and tell me which one draws your attention more. 9 outta 10 times its the Z. The G35 is a magazine queen. lol Still a show of a car, but its all about personal taste. I'm w/ the Z all the way.. then agian, I'm alittle partial to Super Black Track Z's :-)

Oh, and there is a guy here at work that had the G35 for awhile, and all the girls I know look and *yawn*. But, they all asked for rides when I got the Z.

 

Yeah, the girls look at my Z and then when they see me, an old, ugly bald guy driving, they look away. I have become invisible. You young guys will understand what I am saying, just wait a couple of years.

I've previously owned a 240z, 280z, 280zx, 300zx. I would like to say "This is my 5th Z" rather than "This is my 1st G".

 

Ill break it down for you in my opinion..

350z:
-Unique/Sporty look
-Great colors to choose from
-More hp 287-hp 4-liter V 6 engine with 274 lb-ft of torque
-2 Seater
-Great leg room


G35Coupe:
-luxury/Longer look
-Not many good colors to choose from
-Less hp 280-hp 4-liter V 6 engine with 270 lb-ft of torque
-Useless backseat
-Less leg room in the front

Closing rants,

It all comes down to the style your going for. The main factors for people to choose is the front/rear stylings of both cars. I compare it like this; some people like "Vanilla Coke, some people like Coke. I feel the Z down the road will get you more looks, and more attention then G35 would get. Well its late, and this might not make sense to anyone but these are my rants on this subject.

 

I agree 100%, once I saw it in person I was like WOW!!! The G35 is too "pretty" of a car for me... I wanted an aggressive looking car.

 

I agree with madtreed, good job.

The G coupe suppose to be more luxurious, and Nissan did a good job in what they were trying to do.

The Z is a sports car, G coupe‘s more of a GT.

You’re comparing “apples & oranges". They were built for different purposes and different people.

Personally, I like the style of the Z better, especially the rear end. It's all just personal preference.

I would like to see the demographics on the buyers. I imagine, generally speaking, the G35 couples buyers are 10 – 20 years older than the average Z buyer. The only ones I’ve seen in town are white-haired old farts. (No offense to any G’ couple members, that’s just my personal observation!)
