Default 05 track vs 06 enthusiast???

im looking to buy a Z and my max price to spend is $16-17K to have my payments under $350/mo. the 2 models im looking at are the 05 track and the 06 enthusiast. i dont want the 06 base model and the 06 touring, track, and grand touring models are all too expensive. i guess my question is which one is the better vehicle?? the 05 track has a couple more options than the 06 enthusiast like brembo brakes, aero kit, spoiler, VDC, 18" rays track wheels. the 06+ were redesigned but what does the 06 enthusiast offer that the 05 track does not? any info will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome. Neither is better. Just different.

Look at the model amenities.
Decide which suit your needs and which do not.
Shop within your budget.

i think you are confused. The HR motor only comes in the 07+. Unless the two Z's you are looking at have a motor swap (highly unlikely), they have the DE motor, possibly rev up.

Honestly i would choose the 05 track. I would love the brembos and the ray wheels. but look at both of them and decide for yourself what you want

Very similar but the 06 has the benefit of a nicer interior and updated headlights and tails. Otherwise they are mechanically very similar.

i have a 04 track, i would do the 06. i like the 06 rims, headlghts, tails, interior and front bumper better. you do lose the VCD and brembos though. i would still do the 06 if it was me

rev up motors are also known to consume oil. I'd get the 05 track.

Ummm, the '05 track model has a rev-up motor.

For 2005, the Grand Touring and Track models had the 7000rpm 300hp rev-up motor, while the rest got the non-rev-up 287hp motor.

Go with the higher-torque '05.

the 05 track has the lower torque rev up motor. in order to get the higher torque motor id have to get one of the other models like the performance.... i think im gonna wait til fall or next spring and buy an 07 enthusiast. maybe before then if i can get a deal. i just want the HR motor. half a second faster in the quarter mile! maybe they'll have a TT setup by then too
