Great job. Seems like you and your Dad know what your doing. I for one would be skeptical driving a car that was repaired with all that welding and pieced together like that. Mind you, I track my car so that's a little different. That welded chassis has a lot of stress concentrations in it now. But your thread definitely opened my eyes as to what can actually be repaired on a car and still come out looking good. I'm impressed.

Who said I was hating?

I agree they did a good job...but my OPINION, cause we all know whenever someone gives an opinion that they don't like it's automatically hating, is repair jobs aren't going to be as good as OEM, and I woulnd't buy a wrecked car.

But you go ahead and continue to call people names based on one post you've read from them.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject, I got you a 'jump to conclusions mat', so you can 'jump' to all of your wonderous conclusions

She looks great! I would never have known that it was a total if I hadn't seen the before pics. You did a great job.

Actually, you're wrong about the welds. Factory welds arent as strong as many people's repair welds are. Thus, after the repair, you can be even better than where you started.

I agree with you to a certain point. But when your weld is too strong you create an area of weakness around the weld unless you remove the stress concentration by heating the area around the weld. But that's beyond what is needed in this situation. I would just be skeptical taking it to a track like that. Nonetheless the car looks great.

Many props to you for going above and beyond. The car looks good and you picked the best color.

Do you happen to have any pictures inside the door jam.

I read all pages and didnt see what you purchased the car for. Saw how much you payed to repair it. Enjoy her shes a beauty.

The problem with online forums is that no matter what you do, someone will always find a reason to hate and its the only place they can vent behind anomosity.

BTW, fantastic job! Didn't think you guys were gonna pull off that good!

Wow I can’t believe I actually read this entire thread. There are a lot of haters on this forum who for sure got Mom and Daddy to buy their Z. Give opinions and not insults, at the end of the day we are all Z lovers or at least some of you appear to be… Dude amazing job on the Z, you put a lot of work into it so enjoy it.

Awesome job dude!!! If someone didn't tell you, you probably wouldn't pick it started out as a write-off. Got a few friends that own panel and paint shops, so can appreciate all that's gone into the finished product. Now get out there and enjoy it!!!
