I must say, for all the members that were putting you down on this buy....it looks like you shut them up. From the pics it looks like it came out great. Very nice work! Have fun with it!

Yeah, no kidding, I couldn't believe the negativity in this thread. "THIS GUY BOUGHT A WRECKED CAR AND HES TRYING TO FIX IT. **** HIM!"

Thanks for all the comments guys

Everything went as planned. Just that minor hiccup with the adjustment of the trunk, and the noise in the transmission. I'm not sure if the color is dead on. I haven't sat it next to another PPW Z to check. Nonetheless I still get a lot of compliments about the car. I'm waiting for my wheels to come in, and am probably going to send out my calipers for powdercoating soon. I also wanna do that Halo Projector mod from the DIY section of the forums.

These are the wheels that i got for the car.

245/275

Depending on how the wheels look, i might get the face of them powdercoated matte black, and leave the lip gunmetal.

The total cost of the repairs, well parts, was around 4k - 5k including paint. I got a lot of the parts from a donor car.

I've rebuilt a few salvage cars in the past before the insurance regulations and title laws changed on them in GA. I came out very well on a 95 Z28 I rebuilt. Drove it 13 months, put 34k on it and sold it for $2500 more than I had in it. Couldn't have asked for any more than that. It definitely helps to be able to do the work yourself and save the labor costs though. Hard to come out on it otherwise.

OP, car looks good. Nice work.

Nicely done. I am speechless but I was very excited about your project and I am glad that you stuck through with it.

I dont have a doner, I was just saying you were fortunate to have one. And thanks for the compliments, more pics are coming soon. The unibody guy is taking forever...

If you search by 'thread titles' you will find the owner of that car. Don't remember his name but if you search..

"mother F%$ing snow plows"

You will find the original owner.
