Default Soon-to-be Z Owner looking for advice.

Hey guys - found your forum after some searching. I have a couple of noobie questions if I may!

I plan on having my Z at the beginning of the new year, as soon as the holidays have past. I am considering the 04 Touring package. Now, are there any quirks or anything that have been discovered with the 350Z? Anything that appeared in the '03 model that has been corrected in '04? I refer to issues such as paint, drivetrain problems, shifting, brakes, nasty rattles, etc etc.

And finally, is there any advice I can take back to the salesman about this car? Any tips & tricks you can share? I planned on paying ~$35,000 off-the-lot. Please let me know if this sounds about right. Thanks in advance.

Default Not Many Probs with Z

The paint is a problem because it is soft and needs time to cure - DO NOT WAX IT - UV rays cure the paint - Wax blocks UV.

The radio was supposed to suck for 03 - But Bose fixed for 04 - I love mine.

The windows where suppose to grease up or somthing for 03, Nissan has replacement part for it and I think 04 is Fixed.

No rattles in Mine.

No drivetrain problems in mine.

It shifts very smoothly. - I think some just don't know how to drive a sport stick.

The front stock brake pads SUCK - order new pads or clean wheels every 100 miles - I just ordered greenstuff EBC pads from courtesyparts.com (IN Texas).

You can go to nissanusa.com and build the car to your specs. You should not have to pay a dime over MSRP. If you are call Pat Peck In Mobile, AL and ask for Ray Stiles 800-888-5617.

Excellent. You pretty much answered the main concerns that I had.
