2008 350Z Clearance Offer Article
Well... in February, I bought my 2008 Touring instead of the 370 on the showroom. I got several thousand off sticker on the 350, and wouldn't have on the 370. But that's not the only reason I stuck with the older model. Here are the reasons I opted for the 350Z over the 370Z:
1. Better Price
2. Last model year (not first) - generally, I'd like to think all the kinks have been worked out since it's been around a while longer. Sort of like the gradual improvements from the '03 to the '08.
3. I have been eyeballing the 350Z since '03 as it is IMHO the most beautiful Z ever built. IMHO, the 350Z is better looking, inside and out, than the 370Z.
4. Factory performance may be better on the 370Z, but if I really want the extra performance, there are thousands of aftermarket solutions for adding to the 350Z. Yes, the 370Z will have the same enhancements, but my point is - IF the 350 were inadequate for me (it's not), the sky and my wallet are the limit to how much performance I can get.
5. The 350Z doesn't have catfish teeth or split "eyes" (headlights). YEECH!

I might have misunderstood your question but here is my reply,
I think the 2008 350Z is a better deal and here are my reasons
Price: (350) in my area you can get 8k off the sticker of any 350Z on the lot.
Price: (370) at best you pay the sticker at worst you have a small mark up.
Both are tech. a new car, yes the 370 is "more refined" with what I think is a nicer interior and a few more "creature comforts" but, we are also talking about a 2 seater sports car. If you want luxury get a G37 (or 35).
Is the 370 beautiful? Yes.
Is the 370 faster? Yes.
Is the 370 an all around great car? Yes.
But in my humble opinion, take the 8k do some simple bolt-ons, drop a few $$ on the interior and have a VERY nice car to tool around town in.
