Haven't read the whole thread, and I have an 07 / HR:
1) weight
2) gears 1-3 are too long, and 6 is not long enough
3) n/a moddability, especially on an HR
4) gas mileage...highway doesn't bother me, but Atlanta stop & go robs me blind
5) 6 cupholders, and they are all ****ing worthless!!!!
6) driveshaft tunnel is too close to the gas pedal...I have a hard time heel-toe'ing b/c my heel hits the driveshaft tunnel before it can pivot enough to reach the gas while under braking. I just recently read that the 380RS pedal's shape can help me with this https://my350z.com/forum/body-interi...gas-pedal.html
7) blind spots (partially cured by Technosquare/Autoteknics)
8) Stock stereo
9) stock seats suck, but hey, I can replace them.
edit: Not sure where to rank this one, but the fact that neither UTEC nor Osiris can do variable cam phasing/timing!!!!

I also hate how long gears 1-3 are, as well as how close 5-6 are. I'll be switching that up come spring, when I don't have to worry about starting in second (snow )

1. Crap Paint, made worse by the fact that mine is black. Swirled, scuffed and rock' chipped to hell.
2. Performance Mods- Everything is a waste of money and time unless you go FI or LS which are both $$ in the Z. The car gets walked on by kids in their turbo-sport compacts, and the Domestic V8 crowd is able to drastically improve performance for cheap with bolt-ons, cams, and RP upgrades, which for them, is CHEAP.
3. Reliability... This has been my worst car. Airbag light is still blinking, I clear it, it's back in 20 minutes. Driver window went down one day, never came back up... that was a PITA swapping motors and it's still not right. Power-Steering rack and Pump died.. free thanks to warranty, rear hub-seized... that was $1,200.
4. Rear end feels weak, clicks, clocks and bangs around. It's never felt as solid as my 240's or Mustang have when launching.
These issues just all compound each other. If the paint/body had been easier to maintain and looked better, I could over look the lack of Go-Fast, or if I could have cheaply be in the low 13's then I could over look the reliability or visual issues.

Back on topic the most annoying for me in my Z is the interior creaks however I think this is due to the fact I used a dash protectant and that got into the cracks between the plastics. Oh and my tranny had to be replaced but the car had 140000km's and the last 25k were me driving and I was not easy on that 3rd gear so I guess you could say lesson learned.

not too many complaints actually. The cup holders are all crap, stock stereo(bose) is alright, can't open the trunk when the car is running with the remote, don't know why. But most importantly, how quickly it lost its value. When i first got my z in 08, I saw maybe 1-3 z's a MONTH. Now, I see 3-5 z's while driving around for 15 minutes. So sad :]
