Dealer Options
I'd appreciate some feedback as to whether dealer options such as extended warranty, paint protection, and upholstery protection, etc. are worthwhile getting when buying a new car. TIA

DO NOT GET THE PAINT PROTECTION OR upholstery protection. They charge you $179 for a $5 can of scotchguard.
My dealer that I bought my z from automatically puts this on all the cars without asking. If they do that, just tell them you did not ask for that, and they should take the $179 price off.
I would look at the silver, gold warranties, but do not pay the full price on those.
You can haggle those just like the price of the car.
I have the gold warranty, 7 year/100,000.
It all depends on how long you are keeping the car, mods, ect.
Bottom line haggle, haggle haggle.
Also if they say you are getting 5 years of free oil changes, ensure its written in the contract and you are not paying for this. I found out the hard way.
DO NOT GET the tire or theft warranty. They are non-trnsferrable nor can you cancel them. I tried to cancel mine and was told I could, but found out I couldn't later on. I was so pissed.
Anyway, GL
