Why downgrade to a 350z from a Vette?
The Z is no god when it comes to reliability...The dealer had to replace my engine, and transmission...on a brand new '06.
I say get a C6.

if your gunna get a new vette 05+ or a z id go with the o5+ vette cause thats just ridiculous compared and its sexier..
and to the losers that talk crap for some reason.. i ran a 1/4 13.5 at 103, trap time so ? why talk ****? i no how to drive and the vette is the 1 that said lets go so no bs there

I went from a 03 C5 to a 2008 Z, and I have no regrets except that I miss the removable roof. While my Vette was very dependable (and got better gas mileage than the Z), I needed to economize a bit. I put 65,000 miles on the Vette without a problem. I never used all of the Vette's 350 horses nor all of the Z's 306. The Z feels more solid and I think sounds better. The leather is definitely more durable on the Z and it's a little easier to get in and out of. One thing I like about both is the feeling of being in a cockpit when you're driving it. You don't get that feel in Mustangs, BMW's or even Porsches. I'll probably get another Vette someday, but you can't beat the Z anywhere near the price.

I have had a C4 and a C5 and now have a Z who ever said the Z is not reliable well all I can say is I have owned a 240 thru 350 all have been and continue to be very reliable. Yes you can build a vette to make more HP but are you really going to build something to make 700hp? If you are great if you are happy with a stock 350Z motor that you can safely boost and make 380 rwhp (which is a perfect balance on a moderate budget)and are happy then the Z is for you.

Unless you're planning on boosting the Z, stay with the vette. So much more power potential. Regardless of how much money you spend, you can easily get more out of the vette. And once you start boosting a Z you can throw reliability out the window.

C5 Z06>350z+C6 LS3=Happy Family.
There are more people raving about my 350 than my C6, or C5 when I had it. Just recently, my new neighbor asked about my Nissan than the Chevy which has seen. Power is Vette with those growling noise, but the 350z is an overall more practical sports car. If you need some ego soothing, stay with Vette, but for me, I'd take the Z over the Vette.

I got an 03 Z and a 2000 Vette. I'll take the Z any day over the Vette, although that LS1 power is nice sometimes 
Not to mention I love takin the targa top off on nice days

-Better power
-Better handling
-Better mileage
-more interior space
The only thing my 350Z over the vette was better seats and a better cup holder (although the 350Z cup holder is pretty crappy as well).
I loved my 350Z, but I am also realistic... A different class of sports car.
