Stevens Creek Nissan
I am about to buy a Z as soon as someone actually gets one in.
I am curious if any of you have done buisness with stevens creek nissan or any dealership in that area. (San Jose Bay Area, I live in Los Gatos)
What kind of deals were you able to work out? Which ones were willing to sell below MSRP? Where have you just gotten great service?
Any help as to where I should go for a good price and good service is appreciated.
Thanks!
P.S.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum?

I havent' dealt with Stevens Creek, but just stay away from Falore in Sunnyvale. Those guys are a-holes.
Wait a minute, I bought Brake Pads from Stevens Creek. They were pretty cool. Had the best price on OEM pads by a couple $.

I didn't buy my Z from them... but I had a great experience with them. The "DOC" is the man to call... tell him HENRY (SIlverstone) sent ya... he was willing to go below MSRP, (i went to them when i had some problems with my original deal in Hayward, but it got resolved)... (ask for som free throw ins as well... he'll do it

My coworker bought her 03 CS touring model from Stevens Creek Nissan a month ago. Fully loaded except nav system. It cost her $41k out the door. I think there was a markup and she did not even negotiate. I was totally shocked.
I bought my performance at North Bay Nissan (referred by John...2004z). Ask for Randy. He is a super nice guy.
Now that you're getting your Z...you have to drive slower than what you used to. This is not only a chick magnet

haha ahhh stevens creek nissan... only one guy there is nice to me and i got his car and he made me a prettry reasonable offer. Everyone else is an A hole. Try capitol nissan, they have btter selection! stevens creek will price match tho...
I work at Stevens Creek Nissan, and I was totally expecting us to get flamed in this thread! *lol* Thanks for keeping it easy, guys.
Basically, at any dealership, you'll have ******** and nice guys. I'll make a quick list of the more recognizable personalities:
Doc & Sasha are the fleet managers. They can get you MSRP, or even slightly below, but basically that's just because they're fleet, and essentially they can just bypass the haggling. But any salesperson can get you the same deal; you just have to work a little for it. Don't get discouraged though.
I'm Bruce (bald Asian guy with glasses); I hate negotiations, but I know enough to know how to put on some pretenses so that the sales managers don't get on my case for not really putting people through the wringer. As I've pointed out in other posts, the best thing you can do is to print out a price at carsdirect.com. Stevens Creek Nissan has its share of strong salespeople, but like Uber'350 said, we'll price match anything that's reasonable. We'll especially match Capitol Nissan since that's our sister store. And one of our sales managers came from Falore (he's the guy to watch out for as he likes to hold strong on the markup -- but he's also more likely to let someone take a test drive).
Navin (Indian, with blue shades) is the superstar of the store, and has a way of convincing people to pay above MSRP, even on more mundane vehiclese such as the XTerra. Be wary of him; he really knows how to play the psychological games.
Randy (tall, white dude) is a very cool guy, but don't let him fool you. He's almost as good as Navin. When he teams up with Peter, his closer, you won't know what hit you. But if you can hold on to your senses when negotiating with them, they'll still treat you well even if you win.
Koby (Korean) has poor English, and is backed up by the sales managers. He's on my team. Our closer, Stan, will sometimes try really hard to get the deal; he makes more money than Peter, but only because he stands more firm on his demands.
Anyway, I'm on my days off today and tomorrow, but at last check, Stevens Creek Nissan has a Le Mans Sunset Track with NAV, and a Redline ZR. What happened was that we sold a lot in July, and got lots of allocation in August; we didn't sell enough in August, so we got low allocation this month; and this month, we had a week where we sold 7 Z's in 6 days. So we're kinda running low. :OD
But, in any case, if you're by any day other than Wednesday or Thursday, talk to me, and I'll make sure you don't have to go through any real hassle. :O)

Now I simply tell everyone to avoid them. That's my small way of fighting back.
My GF bought her Dodge Dakota at Santa Cruz Nissan/Dodge/Volkwagen, and we had a pretty decent time over there. The sales dudes were a bit of a problem (ended up dealing with a couple of them, since they kept getting fired or something) but we ended up paying about 3% over invoice which was what we wanted. They have an awesome finance dude, so that part was great. We had the Dodge serviced there for a small leak in one of the window seals, and they took care of it without a hassle. They ordered the wrong part once, but other than that it wasn't too bad. I haven't taken my Z there yet though. Not sure if I trust them with MY car.

You gotta be kidding me, people are still paying near MSRP? I got mine from Boardwalk Nissan for under MSRP back in January--I would have figured that it's going for 500 over invoice by now.
They had a little sheet of paper showing that Capitol and Stevens Creek were charging $5-$10K over MSRP, but I highly doubt that it was true.
I even offerred Falore about $1K over MSRP (basically 35K OTD for a performance) but we couldn't reach an agreement.

I ordered in Feb 2002, way before the Z came out. Some of the dealers were good about just going off of MSRP, but others were not.
If I was buying now I'd definitely be looking at about 5% over invoice, but I've been loving my Z for over a year now, so I'm very happy that I got it when it first came out.
In the end though, all that matters is that you are happy with the price. That's one thing that makes it pretty easy to be happy with the Z, since it performs like cars costing much more. Even if you pay a markup you can feel like you got a bargain.
