If you're a member, you can go through COSTCO and get the lower rate from them.

Todd,

Thanks! I am not a member, so no luck for me. I thought you found another bank offer 4.5% and Peoplefirst matched it.

For those of you who went through Peoplefirst, did they verify income or make any other stipulations? They gave me the no-questions-asked treatment, but a couple of my friends were required to verify income, etc. I assume its based on credit score. Some of you with higher FICO scores......did you have to verify anything?

After I clicked the submit button, the only contact from Peoplefirst, 15 minutes later, was your loan is approved. So, whatever verification they did, were done electronically.

So this sort of proves my point. Anything near or over 700 is considered EXCELLENT credit rating. It makes sense that you guys would be gettnig approved anywhere for less than 7%. I was hoping to hear from some people with less than 650 on their rates and where they got approved. I have a pretty good salary (not quite 6 digits), but my credit was trashed in a divorce and ex's poor payment history. So I've been rebuilding it over the last year or so. I'm also in the IT industry, which might as well be called the Layoff Industry, so I've only been at my current job for a year and a half.

I'm hoping to get some feedback on here from those who have lower scores (mine's around 630 now) so I have an idea of when I should try to get financing for my eventual new Z

Thanks guys...

No verification or anything for me. They just called and said I was approved. Check arrived the next day.
My credit score is 685 and My wifes is 722, we got 5.49% for 60 months.
