So I've had the Z for about a month and a half now...loving it. But I've noticed something that's started to happen over the past 2 weeks.

Once or twice a week, I will have a dream where I total my Z. Most of the time in the dreams I'm being foolish and speeding/racing/etc and then screw up, but not always.

I had a few dreams like this with my Civic (hey, it was my first car) but not this often and not this soon. Perhaps I have grown close to the Z quicker. I can remember two off the top of my head:

1st dream - Didn't wreck it but came VERY close. Basically, all I remember is losing traction, spinning around, and almost hitting a wall, but brakes saving me literally inches from damage.

2nd dream - Running into a wall/truck and completely totaling the front end. (in the dream it was literally folded upward at a 90 degree angle). I was debating whether or not the car and/or the engine was totaled and how I would afford repairs while still making payments.

I can't tell you the relief I feel when I wake up and realize it was just a dream.

Just curious if anyone has had any dreams like this. Include details!

P.S. I have not ruled out the fact that the cause may be due to reading about so many wrecked Z's on here, usually late at night before bed ;p

 

Nightmares about wrecking your car indicate an unsavoury sexual attraction for you mother. I read about it in readers digest.

 

i know exactly what you mean, in your dream you cannot control your car no matter what, i have had several of these dreams then i wake up in total relief

 

I have nightmares that I get raped by Bill Nye the Science Guy and Paul McCartney... doesn't mean it'll happen. Relax kid. If you're dreaming you wreck your Z racing and acting stupid, don't race or act stupid in it.

 

I have those dreams all the time. The best feeling in the world is when you wake up to realize it was only a dream. Then open the garage door and she still sittin there in one piece.

The dreams symbolize that, in reality, you are good cautious driver. Are you not?

Had one this weekend, where people where peging my car with rocks and I had to get out and lay the smack down.

True! Never came in contact with anything else except the road! Let's keep it that way!

 

Never wrecking it but sometimes dream about someone breaking into it. I am very paranoid about this but for good reason the area I am in has frequent theft/break ins.

 

Actually, the dream is talking about your own health, not your car. I wonder how your own health has been lately, or how you view your life lately- usually people get into car accidents because they're lives are 'out of control' and they failed to recognize the signs or pattern long before. In dreams, your car typically represents yourself, seeing your car totaled as a result of foolish choices means you may be making some foolish choices or taking chances in your life that won't have a good result- it does not necessarily mean you're heading for a car accident but your health is in jeopardy.

no, but I've had a couple of weird z related dreams in the past couple of months. I was considering lowering my car and leaning away from the idea, then I had a dream where I threw coilovers on it and the frame and front end randomly bent itself inward - hah, I think that stemmed from my thoughts of "if I buy springs.. am I going to have to buy a camber kit .. " etc, something I hadn't already researched fully and figured out.

had a dream last night where a co worker wanted to trade me his zr1 vette + cash for my Z. I don't know how the $hit that panned out, the co worker drives a total beater and we never talk to each other. totally realistic though, I guess if someone really wanted to do that trade I would comply.

 

I have dreams of sexing the ladies up in the Z. Then i wake up with a woody wondering how i can pull off what i just dreamed.

 

I once had a dream that I ate a huge marshmallow. Then I woke up and my pillow was gone.

 

lol nice, ive had a dream or 2 about wrecking the z, but as of late its been more about punk kids damaging it when I stay at the womans house.

 

as long as none of you are waking up in the back of the Z with your ***** out...or out front with the tow hook in and your pants down you'll be fine.
