What Is A Safe Speed.........
what's a safe speed to drop a base z into 3rd gear? i drop into 4th when i'm going 80mph, and it seems that 3rd tops out at around 80-85mph? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I accidentally dropped to 2nd at 75 mph and the tach shot past the rev limiter for about half a sec. The needle rammed and bounced off the end of the tachometer. I almost **** my pants. This engine is bullet proof. Well, almost.

Accidentally dropped into 3rd just under 80 & RPM's shot up to nearly redline. I didnt go far, of course, shifted to 4th right away. I usually downshift to 3rd @ around 60-65. Anything higher & I go into 4th.
