Default 2004 Z Track vs. Corvette Z06

Which car would you rather take if it was a matter of 3 thousando dollar difference?

2004 Daytona Blue 350Z 289hp. 0 km. $37,000 or
2002 Corvette Z06 Yellow 406hp. 8500km $40,000 ???

Let me know... I got to decide in the next two days...

Thank you

I'd go with the z06 for sure, just my opinion. I have driven both cars & the z06 is the ultimate sports car. I love my Z, but nothing beats breaking your tires loose in 2nd, 3rd & 4th gears without much problems

Try them both and get the one you like most.

The corvett is more extreme.

I'd get the corvette

That's a hell of a deal on the Vette, and a pretty steep price on the Z. I vote Vette, for sure.

I used to share a 99 Vette 6 spd with my bro and admit that it has more power but I love the attention I get in my Z. I love the total maturity of the Zs handling and drive as well.
Personally I think you are getting RIPPED off bad on the Z. I got my new 03'enthuziast for $26,900. You can get a used track model Z for $27K. I dont know if that's how it works in Panama but in the US you can get Zs and Vettes used for dirt CHEAP.

If the Vette is clean, then that's the car to get. Not that I don't love my Z, but I'd rather have the Z06. Plus it has low mileage.

The price on the Z06 doesnt seem right. And the Z is way too much. There is no comparison with performance between them. But the Z has better styling, easier on the wallet(gas, insurance, maintanance). Unless your planning to track your car, you dont need all that power on the street.

I'm not real fond of yellow, but comparing a Z to a Corvette is unfair. There is no doubt in my mind I would take a Corvette over a Z (or most cars for that matter) everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. The choice is an easy one

I agree with z-bear here...A z06 with around 4,000 miles on it for only 40K? Sounds like BS to me. Maybe 44K or 45K but 40K is too low. Regardless, if a Z06 was 40K I still wouldn't get it. You could get the track Z (no nav...$34,000), and slap on the Procharger with exhaust and be just as quick as the Z06 and at 40k. As for looks....The Z beats the Z06. Not to mention everybody and their uncle has a new corvette (which looks no different than the Z06 except for the badging).

I agree with several of these responses: The prices don't seem to make sense. The bottom line is, if you feel comfortable paying the price of a good Z06, get it. It's a first-rate car. If I didn't have the expense of the Ferrari maintenance, I would buy a Corvette ahead of the Z. But when you compare real prices, the Z holds its own very well. Remember, the Z is new; the Corvette could be very well used.

Well, considering there is a $6,400 markup from invoice to MSRP on all Z06's, it gives the dealerships a lot of room to move on. Obviously, in this case (Ebay auction and Panama dealership) there is a lack of demand for these cars. I know in my area, you will NOT find used Z06's this cheap. My opinion sill remains that the corvettes in general are too common and for the same amount of money for a used Z06 you can have a NEW supercharged Z that will get more looks and do just as well on the track.

i still like the styling of the latest model corvette. these cars aren't what i would call common and the styling hasn't really aged imo. i would rather have the corvette for sure.

I have been driving a POS for five years now. I finally decided that I was going to buy something nice, new and loaded to the hilt with options. Price didn't concern me, all I cared about was the product I could get for the money. When all was said and done, it came down to the Vette and the Z. The Vette is yesterdays news, and IMO not worth the extra $20K. I went with the Z in question ('04 DB T 6MT loaded), and believe me, with $20K left over to spend on mods, I'll wave to every Vette I see as I pass them.

350Z-TT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At that price it is pretty hard to pass up on the Z06.
