Default VQ35DE bulletproof in stock form?

I just read through 10 pages of posts with the keyword engine noise. I also have been on this forum searching like a madman for the past month for every other Z issue under the sun

I have come to the conclusion that no one here (Naturally aspirated that is) has had engine problems? I know some of you get a lot of track time too. Good news

Granted, the car is only a year old. Is that enough time to see damage?

The VQ engines have been around a while and have a great reputation for sturdiness. I have a lot of faith in them...

Very strong yes.

Bulletproof no.

If you're going to boost, hi-rev NA, etc... I'd recommend building the bottomend accordingly. A good set of rods and rod bolts will help more than anything.

yeah but between the engine and wheel is the transmission, and it's weak.
