Default Most Expensive Cars to Insure

Found this on yahoo, they are broken down into categories but I figured most people would only car about this page. The Z is 20th down on the list, and I believe this list is based on an avg they gathered. Who pays more or less than the average?

Lol Lexus SC 430 isn't a sports car

I got a laugh out of looking at this list, espeically after seeing the Chevy Cobalt SS up there. Then I immidiately looked for the SRT 4

Haha @ Viper being #1. Like anyone didn't see that one coming! Too bad that don't have data for Ferrari. I'd be they cost a hell of a lot more to insure than the snake.

Especially since its fiberglass, so most accident repairs would require new body panels.

it has to do with the average age bracket of the person driving the vehicles. most corvette owners are old rich men who dont go out street racing or wrap them around trees b/c their 17 and dont know how to drive

This list seems to be based on the cost of replacement parts

Actually Corvettes are not fiberglass. They haven't been fiberglass since the early 80's I believe.

Yes, Vettes are cheap to insure. I had a C5 that was right around $120 a month for full coverage. At the time I was 20 yrs old. When I bought my IS300 it went up about $40/mo from the Vette. I sold that and bought the 350Z and it's right around $120/mo, the same as my vette was.

Not another insurance thread.

Of course the posted prices are "averages". Some of us pay more, some pay less.

Why? Read here...
