Default I got an audible flat tire warning, and now I have low-pressure indicators on...

I pulled about a block away from my house this morning when I heard loud beeping for about 10 seconds, and then the low tire pressure warning light came on. The sensors say I'm at about 30-32PSI, and a manual check shows the same.

Is there anything I should be concerned about here? The car does *feel* different, like it's not aligned properly. Nothing happened to the car to my knowledge. I'm going to take it into the shop on Friday for this and other things, but I wanted to get the opinion of all you guys/gals first...

Thanks!

check it again, look at both front and rear, one of them must have read at 28PSI for atleast a second before the tires got warm.

Thanks for the replies!

The night before this happened was the first truly cold night we've had as well. I'll put a little more air in them and see if that fixes it.

The first time that happened to me was when I started up my baby on a cold morning. After that, I put in some air, and the problem went away.

Default warning

If you do get the light to come on for the tire pressure thing....

You may need to go to the dealer to have it "turned off". When mine came on I couldn't get it to reset - went to the dealer - and they had to wave some tool infront of each tire for 8 seconds - after that - fired up the car and no more warning light.

that happened to me 2 days ago also, but it was freezing cold around 10 degree C. when I started my car, my tire pressure were 26f/27r. The light came on and won't go away, so I just went to the gas station and fill up the tires to about 33 front and rear, and whenI start the car again, it went away.

Had it too, but went away after I put some more air in.

But in any case, I won't let anyone wave their tool at my car.

Default There is no need to go to dealer and reset your tire pressure monitor

I got the same problem too, I realized my tire pressure start getting low for the past two weeks, and today the alarm warning sound finally went off, so I took it in to Nissan and talk to one of the service advisor, he said if you have one or more tire pressure it below 29psi it will give you the warning, and due to the weather changing lately, the temp are ups and downs, so is you tire pressure. The best way to determine if you have a lower pressure is to take a auto gauge and measure the tire pressure when you car are cool off, what I mean by that is measure it when you didnt drive you car for about few hours or the best time will be the first thing in the morning, right before you start up your car, use the gauge and check to see what is your pressure at that time, the service advisor told me that it should be at 35psi when the car is cool down, so lets said if you measure it and you have 28psi on one tire or more like my, then you need to add 7psi to that tire, and make sure you balance the tires, I mean by put exactly the same pressure on every tire, set every tires at 35psi and after your put the correct pressure in every tire, reset your tire pressure gauge and drive your car for about 10min. and it should be fine. My warning did went off right after I put the correct pressure in, but sometimes it doesnt go off right away, so you need to drive your car for about 10min. and that should reset the whole monitor.

I keep my tires at 35psi. Is this too high?

No, I run mine at 42-44. Which is on the max end of the RE040.

Sure, comparing it to a lower pressure it DOES ride rougher. The resp. is far more gratifying.

Had the same problem for over a month. Dealer said my tire pressure was too low (30 lbs). I said no way, he said way.

He pumped them up to 40. No more alarms, but car rode hard. I dropped them down to 35. No alarm, good ride and somewhat better control.

Try it.

If there's too much air, wont it hurt cornering? (ie, bouncing off bumps and losing traction?)
