BAKA, Yea, lots of us went away... the 3s platform is pretty much dead, the NA's are priced way crazy low now, and the turbos are gettin scarce..
had to make a jump to somethin a little more reliable.

my z kept up with my buddys 15g'd twin turbo on 13lbs of boost! (he turned it down) lol. .

WHOEVER WANTED THE MEASUREMENTS
the hole is 2 1/8 exiting the stock manifolds.
HOWEVER the INNER part where the exhaust actually comes out, is only 1 3/4"
you cant tell me a 2.25" opening header, with equal length runners doesnt DO anything.. this car is severely choked from the factory.

sick of all these bench racing morons "they dont do this, they dont do that" all you know is what you read online.. not what youve installed yourself. THAT is the source of the FAIL here.

I bought OBX long tube headers (i think that's the ebay brand) and whether y'all believe it or not i got decent gains. check my other post about my tune with osiris at church automotive. even the guys at the shop mentioned that the long tubes did me good =)

my 2 cents

Those collectors are incredibly small.
No wonder the SG Motorsports 3" dual exhaust with 3" collector headers gained a whole 15-20hp.

Ya know what dude, from what a lot of these other guys were telling me, the church dyno tends to inflate the numbers. I don't have too many mods, just your basic bolt ons. I would like to believe my numbers are 100% correct but I have only dynoed it once. my mods are as follows:

Fujita short ram
MD 5/16 Plenum Spacer
OBX long tube headers(acts as test pipes as well for those that don't know)
X02 true duals(HKS knockoff)

I need to take it to different dynos to see some different results. Regardless.... I still felt much more power throughout all rpms. And if you take a look at the dyno graph from my post, you could see the gains were decent. Thank you osiris =) not to mention the 4 map settings I got were quite nice too!

I have ebay headers i think AMK brand. Not sure because the shop ordered it for me, they said it was made by the same company that makes the DC brand headers at a fraction of the cost. Mine bolted right on, look great, and will hopefully last a long time. My engine was already out so no labor cost involved. The only reason the shop recommended it was because i had planned on going SC and these headers make much bigger gains with SC over stock.

As far as performance i couldnt tell you, since i went from greddy twin turbo to N/A with 5/16th spacer, aps true dual exhaust, unorthodox pulley set, sfr short ram intake, and amk? headers, osiris stock flash. Its plenty fast enough for me daily driving, once i get some time i will dyno tune it and post the results.

let me paint a picture for you, my last car was an '04 Z. I installed EVERY N/A mod possibe, including CRAWFORD headers, ($1000 a pop) which are the best on the market for the DE. My STOCK HR Z is still faster than my old Z. I know from experience how much a waste of money it is to modify a DE Z with just bolt-ons. So don't even think for one second I dont know what i'm talking about.

have fun wasting your money, rookie.

cant argue with THAT.

the POINT was, regardless of what some internet dorks tell you, the Ebay headers make a nice improvement over stock collectors.

its physics, and EVERYONE whos been in my car before and after has said, holy cow, this feels much faster, whatd you do to it.

so its not just me.

again, when they crack, then at least ill know that buying the good ones is worth it.

LOL at this entire thread.

Product fail and wrong section as well.

I'm gonna buy some $2 stickers from Ebay and make a thread.

This is coming from a guy who is loading his Z with a plethora of ebay parts, and i'm the one who should be driving a honda?..

i'm only on his ignore list because he knows i'm right and he's wrong.

excuse me, that actually shows I spare no expense for good, high quality parts, something you and the OP must not know anything about. The rookie move is being a little pissant and buy all your ripoff parts from ebay.

he could be right though. ive seen top speed headers that netted very little up top around 4whp but there were parts in the mid end that netted 15whp difference for around 2000rpm. not bad. you have to overlay the before and after dynos to find the true gains. i do agree on the not gaining crap if you are referencing peak horsepower.
