I'm sure he's talking about acceleration, not speed.

According to Uprev, yes. Something like from 0 to 30 mph you're limited to 80% throttle, IIRC.

What a mess this thread is.

Haha a mess indeed. I was tuned with Uprev and it disabled that feature. Maybe thats why I feel like its so powerful in 1st.

I think all newer Nissans. It's somewhere in the giant Osiris thread.

1st gear isn't really a gear where your going to feel that kind of pull. It's a 350z, not a Trans Am. V6 with a relatively heavy body so she gets up slow. Coming from an automatic myself, I can relate to the difference in feel of launching. (Even my auto Civic seemed to get moving quicker). However, once you hit second....it's on.

Yupp... minivans, corolla's, civics... etc etc... they all pull away faster from the light than I do (6 Spd) under normal driving. 2nd gear is no doubt when the fun really starts

I dont know about you guys, but I get up to 45mph in first gear. I think hes talking about the smooth powerband that is noticed in 2nd and 3rd. I deff love those two gears. id say 3 feels good, slower than first and second of course, but you can feel the butter the motor churns out.

1st may feel slow because you are starting from a stop or your MPH is not as high as it would be in 2nd+ gear...

Why would anybody want to go 45mph in 1st?

Cause they're leet drivers...

I'm not sure why anyone would want to stay in first gear longer than 3-3.5k, like someone said earlier, 1st gear is to get me moving. 2nd is where it's on
