SO when you build order a Z does it always come from japan? Or do they try and find one already in the states? I ask this because when I order my Z i want next to almost no miles on it. What is the most you should see if it comes directly from Japan? What is the least miles they have come in that you guys have heard of. Even 20 miles could be like 3 test drives and there goes your break in right? Thanks for the help

if you order one, it should not be test driven at all. it should have less than 20miles in it IMHO

Yes when you order it, it comes from Japan - the only place the car is made... UNLESS you ask your dealer to try to locate one that is already stateside (or already on its way over) for you.

I "ordered" mine in March, and the dealer found one that was already configured to my specifications already on its way over from Japan. He traded another dealership for it. So I got it in May with 7 miles on it

I have been waiting FOREVER.
3 weeks on the boat, 1 week from port to dealer. You're looking at the end of October.

Question

How did you find out that it was shipped? Did you call NNA? or did the dealer tell you?

I'm waiting for a 04 SS Enthusiast on order since August.......maybe mine is parked next to yours?

Found out through the distribution guy at Nissan.
Is not the one I originally ordered though.
It does have the same options but I got tired of waiting and inquired at several dealers to find me one sooner.
They found one coming in going to another dealer. My dealer was able to trade a new Armada for my Z.

The distribution guy at the dealer correct?

I've called NNA a few times and all they can tell me is the End of October or Early November........

The dealer contacted the distribution guy.
I am not sure where the distribution guy is though.
I remember him saying he was in Dallas.
I live in Houston and I am assuming Dallas is the Headquarters for this region.
It seems as though they have regions broken into like seven state areas.
I never talked with distribution guy personally.
Hope this helps. Your dealer should be able to tell you whatever you need, he may have to call around some.

My Dealer? HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm lucky I even got an estimated date out of them! I had to call NNA to get any info about my order and they didnt tell me too much. So I just have to bend over and grab my ankles until it comes in, then run like hell from that dealer (I'd lose my $ 400 deposit if I go somewhere else now, wifie wont like that too much!)

Grats on gettin your Z shipped. I should have done the same thing...instead, the Z I bought came with almost 200 miles on it. Wasn't happy...but was too excited to have the car then and there. You'll be glad you waited...fresh car...
