The same thing happened to my sister once, but she was on the highway. She
panicked as well, but luckily her bf was
there to grab the steering wheel and
safely pull them over onto the shoulder.
If your work stresses you out, look into finding a beter job bro. If it doesn't pay as much, at least you'll enjoy it

Glad your ok. I am really surprised to hear that the insurance company is paying for the damage caused by a aftermarket hood and you leaving it open. Did you lie or did they really pay for that? Either way, more mods ftw!

Why not make it a targa top? Thats what I would do in your situation. Be a little different, who knows it could work really well.

i didnt lie to the insurance at all... i was straight up with them as i am with everyone. ive found in life that its much easier to tell the truth and see what happens. one way or another youre gona pay for your actions.

i have had the hood on there for 3 yrs now and have had it upwards of 150 with no problems so i am not going to be using hood pins next go around. i only had the problem bc the hood wasnt fully latched...

ive been so busy with work i have yet to even call a body shop. worst part is that the car only has a little over 15k miles on it. good part is that it looks as though i can get the front end i want along with some other goodies instead of stock stuff.

the damage does not look like much. the roof was the worst part.

i should have an opportunity this weekend to get some pics up here....

thanks for yalls concern and what not

Sucks for sure man. I had a 318Ti BMW with a 3.2 M3 swap and i was on the interstate when my hood pins in my carbon fiber hood snapped and the hood went flying up at about 140mph!!!!! Was crazy for sure. Windshield was almost touching the steering wheel and the roof was torn up bad. Ill never have an aftermarket hood again on any car!!
