Default FWIW:

According to professional detailers the thumbnail test is the surest way to tell if the paint is still too soft for any type of modification. Press on the paint in an unobtrusive area with your fingernail and see if the indentation remains. If it does the paint needs to cure longer before you do any kind of agressive work, (wax on...wax off), to it or it will move!
This does not apply to bumper covers since a flex agent may be added to one or more of the applied surfaces.

To the previous post about engine break in period being B.S. That is in the manual and I understand the importance of setting the rings properly and how that is achieved via driving as mentioned in the break in instructions. I am at 300 miles and never been over 4000 rpm yet. Just enjoying the time till 1200 miles.
