Dealer damaged my Z, need advice
When I pick up my car after dealer service yesterday, I noticed that the side of the front bumper was badly scratched. It has obviously been hit by another car, or they had driven it into something. Despite the clear bra, the finish is worn away down to the black plastic and a bit of the metal fender is also damaged.
What can I realistically expect (demand?) the deal to do? Replace the bumper? Repair the old bumper? Replace the clear bra?
In addition, I paid to have the dealer correct road rash on two wheels. The buffing and polishing was excellent, but the clear coat feels like the paint was applied in a sawdust factory. It is reasonable to expect a smooth finish comparable to the original? I refused to pay the bill.
Should I demand a Z loaner while they make repairs?
Interestingly, the dealer initially denied causing the damage -- until I reminded them that they have a multi-camera video system that records all activity in the lot. I'll provide more details after I visit them this afternoon.

Dealerships have a check off sheet that is filled out prior to any service. You sign it along with the service department. If the car comes back with damages that werent noted or drawn on the sheet they have an obligation to repair it.
The dealerships like to pinch every penny so I can imagine that they will sand down the area and little outside of it where it was damaged and repaint the spot. What should probably be done is sand the whole bumper down, prime it, and repaint it.

That sucks dude but ya make sure you get your **** fixed. And i would get them to get the rimes smooth as can be, its supposed to be a like new finish on them i think. A good BBB threat will always get there attention to. Good luck on getting it all fixed keep us updated.
Getting the dealer to admit fault and getting the dealer to pay is a different story.
I would let my insurance company take care of it. That's what I pay them for. Best of luck.

Ive learned to take pics of car before dropping it off anywhere(time/date stamp). there not gonna give a z as a loaner it will most likely be an altima. Think about it does it really make sense to put a 2 seater with minimal trunk space in there loan a car fleet
The dealer (Bruce Bennett Nissan in Wilton, CT) is making good on the damage. They sent the car to a high-end body shop for repair at their cost.
