Went single exit on the exhaust with full 3" tubing from PPE longtubes to 2.5" I.D end muffler and re-tune on the HKS f-con Vpro e.c.u. Car runs amazingly!

Changed oil and oil filter, removed spare tire and tools, car is running a lot better and a tad bit more nimble.

Why choke it down at the muffler? The 3 inch exhaust does nothing it you have a 2.5 inch muffler restricting it.

Are we positive on this? I was contemplating 3" dual straight pipes with the 2.5 exotic speed mufflers for my FI setup. I know it restricts it some but I was under the assumption that the 3" dual almost full length would still have some good effects on exhaust flow. Sort of like the positive results of a 3" downpipe on standard size exhaust pipping. Or test pipes on the 2.5 exhaust pipping. If this is the case I guess I need to go a different direction.

Positive that having 3" long tubes going into 2.5" piping is restricting it? Yes.

I'm positive it is too. More of a question of specific power effects on higher power levels.

for the guy with the restricted exhaust. Take a drinking straw, fill up your tub and go scuba diving using the straw as your snorkel.

Step 1. Straw only.
Step 2. Legit snorkel
step 3. Legit snorkele with straw duct taped to the end
